Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) wrote a scathing op-ed, which was published in The Hill Tuesday, in which she lambasted lawmakers who questioned US district judicial nominee Brian Buescher about his affiliation with the Catholic organization, Knights of Columbus. While Rep. Gabbard never mentioned Sen. Hirono by name, the only two Senators to have made an issue of Buescher's participation in the Knights of Columbus were Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI).

Faith and family are two pillars of American culture that Democrats have worked for decades to undermine, so imagine my surprise when I read Obama's former White House Chief of Staff and current Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel making an argument for stronger faith and family values. The left, of course, is livid and think he's "blaming the victims" of the rampant violence that many parts of Chicago experience on a daily basis.  Perhaps they needn't be, however, as the cynic in me wonders if this isn't a geared response to the massive protests organized by pastors from Chicago's South and West sides.

Welcome to Legal Insurection's First Annual Cultural Appreciation Day. This day was inspired by the brave response of 18-year old Keziah Daum to the social media storm she sparked by wearing a gorgeous Chinese cheongsam dress for some selfies before her prom. Daum refused to apologize after she was deluged by social justice warriors with charges of "cultural appropriation."
