    In April, the second family was ridiculed and their marital decision not to be alone with a member of the opposite sex the subject of vigorous Beltway debate. The Vice President was called 'sexist' and it was generally assumed there was no way Mike Pence could successfully put his marriage ahead of his politics without unfairly discriminating against supremely qualified would-be female staffers (despite evidence to the contrary).

    Joe Scarborough has painted a no-win portrait of VP Pence. On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough said that Vice-President Pence "is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump . . . or he's a liar. There is no middle ground." Giving Pence the dubious benefit of the doubt, Scarborough advised, "if it is the first, I think it's about time for Mike Pence to go to Donald Trump and say, as I think most of us would, if you set me up to be your liar again, I'm walking."

    Vice President Mike Pence attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany where he told Europe that America will stand behind its NATO allies. Pence also met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to assure him that America remains committed to Ukraine and that Russia upholds the Minsk Agreement. President Donald Trump rattled some cages on the campaign trail when he stated his beliefs that NATO was obsolete, leading many to believe America will abandon the organization. Pence said that will not happen:

    Has Mika Brzezinski been binge-watching House of Cards? The question arises because on today's Morning Joe, she offered up a Machiavellian theory which appeared to portray Mike Pence as scheming to take over the presidency. Joe Scarborough asked who within the White House will go to President Trump and tell him that he's undercutting his credibility. When Mark Halperin proposed VP Pence for that job, Mika Brzezinski replied: "it's not happening. He's waiting to be President." Was Mika implying that Pence has adopted a conscious strategy of letting President Trump implode so that he can assume the presidency when Trump is driven from office?

    Hundreds of thousands of people have arrived in Washington, D.C., for the March For Life, a yearly event to promote life and urge an end to Roe v Wade. Vice President Mike Pence will make history as the first sitting VP to speak live at the event. President Donald Trump tweeted his support of the march Friday.

    You may remember that right after the election, Vice President Elect Mike Pence attended a performance of the show 'Hamilton' where he was booed by people in the audience and given a sanctimonious lecture from the stage. The creator of 'Hamilton,' Lin-Manuel Miranda, didn't deliver the speech to Pence, but he wrote it and no matter what anyone says, it was intended as a dig at Pence. Flash forward to now. Obama has granted clemency to convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera and Lin-Manuel Miranda couldn't be happier about it. He's even going to do a special performance of Hamilton for the man.

    Republicans gathered on Capitol Hill with Vice President-elect Mike Pence to discuss Obacamare where he announced that President-elect Donald Trump plans to use executive action to repeal the law:
    “It will be an orderly transition to something better ... using executive authority to ensure it’s an orderly transition," Pence told reporters. "We’re working now on a series of executive orders that will enable that orderly transition to take place even as Congress appropriately debates alternatives to and replacements for ObamaCare.”

    As Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R[?]-SC) rush to make Obama's Dreamer executive order (EO) law, cat fights are erupting on Twitter regarding immigration and Trump's intentions in this regard. In 2010, the DREAM Act failed in the Senate, so Obama picked up his pen and his phone and, by EO, made it happen.  Now, Republicans are working again with Democrats to revive the failed bill . . . they hope before Obama leaves office, though this is highly unlikely. The Hill reports:
    Democratic and Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are working on legislation that would limit deportations if President-elect Donald Trump repeals President Obama’s executive orders on illegal immigration.
