    Two Iraqi officials announced that an operation between U.S. and Iraqi forces led to the capture of five top ISIS members. From The New York Times:
    The three-month operation, which tracked a group of senior Islamic State leaders who had been hiding in Syria and Turkey, represents a significant intelligence victory for the American-led coalition fighting the extremist group and underscores the strengthening relationship between Washington and Baghdad.

    According to German media reports, Osama bin Laden's former bodyguard has been drawing huge welfare payments for the past several years after the 42-year-old Tunisian man and his family received permanent asylum in the country. German authorities made these revelations following a formal request for information submitted by the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. German immigration authorities are refusing to deport the former Al Qaeda henchman, identified as Sami A., back to Tunisia, citing "the considerable likelihood" of "torture and inhumane or degrading treatment," German newspaper BILD reported. German security services classify Sami A. as a "security risk" due to his past links and current activities, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle revealed. Another German newspaper described him as a "key figure in German Islamist scene."

    Israeli Economic Minister Eli Cohen said in a speech aired on country's Army Radio on Monday that the country warned 30 countries on specific terror threats in 2017. Minister Cohen's revelation comes almost a week after Australian authorities acknowledged the role of Israeli intelligence in averting an ISIS terror plot to bring down an airliner last year. Israeli military's intelligence branch, known as “Unit 8200,” told the Australian authorities about a hidden explosive device destined for an Etihad Airways flight leaving Sydney for Abu Dhabi last July. Earlier this month, the German weekly Der Spiegel reported on Israel's role in helping Germany and European countries in combating Islamist terror. It revealed that Israel is part of a covert multinational counter-terrorism operation named “Gallant Phoenix” that gathers intelligence on Islamic State war criminals returning from the Middle East to Europe.

    With the Islamic State (ISIS) heading for collapse, Belgium is bracing for the return of hundreds of jihadi fighters deserting the ranks of the Islamic Caliphate in Syria and Iraq. The western European country, which pursued a liberal immigration policy in recent decades, produced the highest number of foreign ISIS fighters per capita of EU countries -- up to 700 in total.

    German Intelligence Agency (BND) is concerned about the Islamist ideology increasing its influence in the Balkan region, German newspapers report. The main focus of Germany's foreign intelligence agency is the Muslim-majority country of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The agency has been alarmed by massive investments being made by Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries in the religious and Islamist infrastructure of the country.

    France's parliament on Wednesday passed a new anti-terrorism law that gives law enforcement sweeping powers to search homes, carry out surveillance, and set up borders checks. The new law replaces the state of national emergency that came into effect after the 2015 Paris attacks, which killed 130 people. The state of emergency was extended six times and due to expire next month. Despite the unprecedented powers given to the police and the security forces, France has been hit by a series of attacks leaving 241 people dead since the imposition of the emergency.

    Remember the Left's chorus of "build bridges not walls", condemning every sane move from limiting mass migration into Europe to President Trump's proposed border wall? With Jihad warfare fueled by mass migration rocking one European city after another, Europe's ruling class is finally having an unpleasant rendezvous with the reality. Though it's still "open borders" for the ordinary citizens of the street, the ruling class is protecting itself as it senses the approaching disaster of its own making. Austrian government has taken the first steps by constructing blast walls -- capable of withstanding vehicle bombs -- around its vital state buildings in the capital city of Vienna, including the Federal Chancellery, the President's Office, and a few other key government ministries, local newspapers report.

According to Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), modeled after the American FBI, Islamic State might be planning to sabotage railway networks to inflict heavy civilian casualties in the West, as part of its evolving Jihad warfare strategy.

    Nothing describes German Chancellor Angela Merkel government’s current approach to counter the growing Islamist terrorism more precisely than the idiom 'letting the fox guard the hen house.' In its latest move, the government is funding an 'anti-terror workshop' in Berlin and inviting clerics serving the Iranian Mullah regime to preside over the event. “Federal government supports terror accomplices,” Germany’s leading newspaper Bild commented. Questioning Merkel's government's anti-terror strategy, the newspaper asks: “Does [the] federal government want to confront radicalisation of Muslims in Germany with the help of Islamist Mullah Regimes?” The taxpayer-funded workshop is being organised by local Islamic groups with close ties to Iranian Regime, Bild reported.

    After three long years, forces have liberated Mosul, Iraq's second largest city, from the grips of ISIS. From CNN:
    "From here, from the heart of the liberated and free Mosul, by the sacrifices of the Iraqis from all the provinces, we declare the great victory for all of Iraq and Iraqis," [Iraqi PM Haider] al-Abadi said. "This is a great celebration that crowned the victories of the fighters and the Iraqis over the last three years."

    German authorities made large welfare payments to a Muslim family while it was fighting for the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, German media reports say. Local newspapers did not reveal the actual amount involved in the fraud, but the ‘Jihadi family’ receiving family allowances, unemployment benefits, and child care payments could have pocketed tens of thousands of Euros in a span of one year while serving in the ranks for the terrorist organisation. German authorities downplayed the latest revelations as a mere oversight caused by the 'faulty communication' between the Police, City and Federal Agencies. The State of Lower Saxony, where the city of Wolfsburg is located, is notorious for migrant welfare frauds. Earlier this year, the state refugee agency in Lower Saxony fired an employee for exposing over 300 cases of welfare fraud committed by migrants.

    A gunman opened fire on the famous Champs-Élysées in Paris and killed one police officer before being killed himself. The attack left two other people seriously injured. ISIS immediately claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack. The Wall Street Journal reported:
    The assault began around 9 p.m., an Interior Ministry spokesman said, when a car pulled alongside a police patrol and the gunman jumped out wielding an automatic rifle. Police returned fire, killing the gunman, according to authorities.

    Yesterday, the military dropped a MOAB bomb on an ISIS tunnel in Afghanistan. The left freaked out over possible civilian death and injuries. (Weird, I remember their silence when Obama dropped 26,000 bombs last year alone) But Afghan officials said that the bomb did not kill any civilians. From ABC News:
    Thirty-six ISIS militants were killed but no civilians died when the U.S. military dropped the "mother of all bombs" on a cave complex in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

    The U.S. military has dropped a Massive Ordinance Air Blast (MOAB) for the first time in history on an ISIS tunnel in Afghanistan. The military needs to use an Air Force C-130 cargo plane to drop the bomb. Fox News reported:
    President Trump told media Thursday afternoon that "this was another successful mission" and he gave the military total authorization.
