Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer shut down Michigan earlier this year because of COVID-19. The Michigan Supreme Court ruled in October that she lacks the authority to issue these shutdowns.
Whitmer doesn't care because she is closing down Michigan again right before the holidays.
On Saturday, I posted that the Michigan Supreme Court found that Gov. Gretchen "Shutdown Queen" Whitmer "did not have authority after April 30, 2020, to issue or renew any executive orders related to the COVID19 pandemic under the EMA [Emergency Management Act of 1976].”
Michigan governor Gretchen 'Lockdown Queen' Whitmer was dealt a blow by a legal decision issued by the state's Supreme Court. The opinion was in answer to a federal court's questions about Michigan law. The federal court will determine the next steps.
Democrats are fond of claiming that America doesn't need Trump's southern border wall, yet so many of them live behind protective walls.
In Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is currently erecting an eight-foot-high border around her home.
In a nation filled with petty government tyrants and bullies empowered by coronavirus panic, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer stands out as possibly the most petty and most tyranical of the bunch.
Whitmer has shown such a unique combination of fanatical self-righteousness and psychopathic vindictiveness that most people wrote off her vice-presidential prospects.
So maybe as early as next week Joe Biden will announce who he is picking to be his vice presidential nominee. Or more precisely, the vice president nominee will be picked, Biden will be informed, will come to believe he made the choice, and will appear in front of a camera with a note written in large crayon with the person's name.
How about some good news?
Michigan barber Karl Manke, 77, had his license restored after the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs suspended it after he cut hair during Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's lockdown.
The Black Lives Matter movement was born of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. While the BLM founders started their organizing after the prior Trayvon Martin case, it was Brown and Ferguson which launched the BLM movement into the public spotlight through the protests and riots in Ferguson.
Nothing was more associated with the BLM movement than the chant "hands up, don't shoot," based on the narrative that Brown had his hands raised and said 'don't shoot' when shot. That same chant drives protesters and rioters ripping up cities after the George Floyd killing.
Trump rallies can't take place due to the pandemic, but Trump supporters in certain areas have come up with a new way to express their solidarity with the president. They're boat parades called "Trumptillas."
You've got to admire their ingenuity and enthusiasm. And none of it involves riots or looting.
Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has become a household name due to her strict lockdown rules during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. She urged people to stay away from northern Michigan if they do not reside in the area.
However, the owner of a docking company revealed that Whitmer's husband Marc Mallory asked them to put out their family boat in the water before Memorial Day weekend...in northern Michigan.
Oh, Mallory also tried to use his wife's position as governor to receive special treatment.
