    Donald Trump Tag

In the aftermath of the national outrage over the charges against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett being dropped, President Trump on Thursday called for a federal investigation into the case. The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) took issue with Trump's call, and Chairwoman Karen Bass (D-CA) blasted him in a statement:

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has repeatedly made clear that there is nothing special counsel Robert Mueller could say that would prevent him from pursuing his goal of impeaching President Trump. He said it on the floor of the U.S. House early last month, and he reiterated that point Sunday in a tweet. The reason why? Green says Trump's alleged bigotry makes him unfit to serve in public office:
#MuellersReport did NOT investigate bigotry emanating from the Presidency harming our country. The findings do NOT negate the President’s bigotry. As long as bigotry influences the President’s policies, I will continue to seek his impeachment. #ImpeachmentIsNotDead

We all know Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wants control back of her party since Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) and Ilhan Omar (MN) have shown they have no problem rebelling against the establishment. Pelosi decided to splash them and others with a dose of reality when it comes to impeaching President Donald Trump: Stop.

We turned our clocks forward Saturday before bedtime for Daylight Savings Time (DST), which left us with one hour less of sleep on Sunday. Most of us dragged ourselves around the final day of the weekend. A lot of us also complained about the time change on social media, including politicians. President Donald Trump voiced his support for making DST permanent, but to do that involves Congress.

Remember when the mainstream media sneered at President Trump's claims on how people allegedly being tied up, bound, and duct-taped women at the border? These outlets included CNN and The Washington Post. As it turns out, Trump was right. The media outlet going on the record to correct the "fact checkers" on this issue is the New York Times, the queen bee of liberal media outlets, and certainly no friend of the president's.

We all remember how when George W. Bush was president he was ruthlessly treated by his political opposition. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), in particular, stood second to no one in expressing his utter disdain and contempt for "43" every chance he got. But in an interview with CNN's Dana Bash that aired this week, the former leader of the US Senate is now singing a different tune:

President Donald Trump has informed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in a letter that he will honor her previous invitation to deliver the State of the Union in Congress on January 29. He told Pelosi, "It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!" Pelosi shot back that she won't allow Trump to deliver the address in the House.
