Barr Appoints Special Counsel to investigate Russian probe

Tuesday, Attorney General Barr announced the appointment of Special Counsel John Durham a US Attorney, to probe the Russia investigation that targeted the Trump camp.

    From the Associated Press:

Attorney General William Barr has given extra protection to the prosecutor he appointed to investigate the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, giving him authority to complete the work without being easily fired.

Barr told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he had appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham as a special counsel in October under the same federal statute that governed special counsel Robert Mueller in the original Russia probe. He said Durham’s investigation has been narrowing to focus more on the conduct of FBI agents who worked on the Russia investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane.

Under federal regulations, a special counsel can be fired only by the attorney general and for specific reasons such as misconduct, dereliction of duty or conflict of interest. An attorney general must document such reasons in writing.

The investigations grew out of allegations of cooperation between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russians to help him defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton.

“I decided the best thing to do would be to appoint them under the same regulation that covered Bob Mueller, to provide Durham and his team some assurance that they’d be able to complete their work regardless of the outcome of the election,” Barr said Tuesday.

Biden’s transition team didn’t immediately comment on the appointment.

The current investigation, a criminal probe, had begun very broadly but has since “narrowed considerably” and now “really is focused on the activities of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation within the FBI,” Barr said. He said he expects Durham would detail whether any additional prosecutions will be brought and make public a report of the investigation’s findings.

In an Oct. 19 order, obtained by The Associated Press, Barr says Durham is authorized “to investigate whether any federal official, employee or any person or entity violated the law in connection with the intelligence, counter-intelligence or law enforcement activities” directed at the 2016 presidential campaigns, anyone associated with the campaigns or the Trump administration.

The special counsel rules say the appointed person should be outside of government, but Barr pointed to statutes that he said would allow him to go around that.

Durham? Again? Pardon me, but his performance has been underwhelming to date. is he the only one to choose from?

I believe most if not all of the heavy lifting of the Spygate investigation has been done. There are so many aspects to it because Spygate was the deepstate’s attempt at covering up decades of corruption. For example, the FEYES portion alone entails: hillary>fusiongps>steele>brennan>comey>both ohrs>British/Australian intelligence and others>US Congress/Senate personnel>james wolfe and I could go on and on. Many of the investigations overlap with others. Running this investigation required a reasonable but tight span-of-control. Bill Barr would still have his hands full with the vastness of this situation, so trusting subordinates and delegating authority here would have been critical and necessary. I believe AG Barr has created the appearance of dithering and fecklessness, but has overseen a very effective investigation. This battle had to be fought a different way than what we are used to seeing. The Trump Presidency and Administration are like nothing we’ve ever experienced in our lifetimes. It’s impossible to count how many times he’s survived the “WE GOT HIM NOW!!!” proclamations. The President of the United States is universally known to be the most powerful position in the world. PDJT not only knew this going in, he was prepared to protect and defend our Constitutional Republic using the vast powers of that Office. Sure, I could be wrong, but I’m never going to surrender to the left. Never.

What many people forget is that the people who were investigated in the Durham report are also involved/connected to the octapus’ head. If there is going to be some arrests soon, it doesn’t matter who arrests them for what. It’s the same people involved in so many of the crimes. All of these arrests will create a trail to drag in with further arrests.

I really don’t think this has anything to do with next year after January 22. Something is about to happen.

Tar and feathers needs to come back into vogue.

There is one possible positive interpretation of this. As we are witnessing with the various voter fraud cases, evidence is being destroyed, lost or kept away from Powell, Wood and Giuliani. Powell and Wood openly declare that this is a vast conspiracy involving “both” political parties, oligarchs (Bill Gates e.g.) and foreign nations (especially China, Iran and Russia). Maybe Barr did this at this time to stop the destruction of the evidence that will be needed later?

Lin Wood is openly declaring that a large number of very prominent figures (of which we will learn very soon) will wind up in prison. Someone has to do the arresting and it won’t be local sheriffs or police.

It all depends on where your mind is. If you believe that EVERYONE is corrupt, then it is hopeless. Lin Wood, Sydney Powell, and Rudy Guliani sound very, very confident in winning and they must be close because GA governor Kemp and his mafia Secretary of State (1st targets for Lin Wood) are now in hiding. Something is going to happen really soon and it will be big.

Sorry, I didn’t want to break up this orgy of hopelessness. As Milhouse keeps explaining to us idiots, we can’t win. The US constitution is a suicide pact.

Much depends on who Durham is, I mean, who is he really? Does anyone know?

That is the question all around. Like all of these new Republicans in the House. It’s not about knowing. There is only one visible path to victory and we are all assuming plenty. I choose to assume that there are enough patriots in the right places who will do the right thing at the right time. Have faith.

First, Biden (or that tramp Harris) will fire Durham. The media will ignore it (meaning, half the nation won’t know about it) and that’ll be that.

OR: Durham comes out with a report of massive fraud, massive treason, massive this or massive that. The media will ignore it (meaning, half the nation won’t know about it) and that’ll be that.

We need to secede from the nihilistic toilet the United States has become. It’s not longer our country. It’s our own fault for hiring and re-hiring the GOPe for decades.

Nonetheless, if we get out now, we get out without a civil war. And if there is a civil war, there won’t be any winners: just most American cities and counties turned into lawless hellholes, with strongholds of patriots. The fighting will NEVER stop.

Let’s cut our losses now, and make a smooth transition to the New America, and leave the corrupt trashcan that our country as a whole has become.

Sadly a yeaar to late. They are pissing into the hurricane force wind that is the Democrats administration.
