Howard Fineman of NBC News/MSNBC: Melania Trump turned “the lovely Rose Garden into a neo-fascist parade ground”

Melania’s renovation of the Rose Garden brought out sociopathic derangement from supposedly reputable journalists and others.

Forget our nation’s Democrat-run cities being swarmed by rioters, looters, vandals, arsonists, and murderers.  Forget the Wuhan coronavirus.  Forget the economy.  Forget everything because the only thing that matters is . . . the First Lady’s Rose Garden.

At least, that’s what you’d think if you saw the stream of bile spewed about Melania Trump’s  White House rose garden restoration.

Suddenly, the left cares about history again, and they are fuming that a “foreigner” has removed “historic” plants.

    Fox News reports:

Former New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald slammed first lady Melania Trump for renovating the White House Rose Garden saying on Saturday that he is “furious” she is “a foreigner,” sparking pushback from other journalists.

“It is a destruction of our history, something no other First Lady would have had the gall to do,” Eichenwald, a New York Times bestselling author, tweeted on Saturday, “This is the first time I have been furious that @FLOTUS is a foreigner. She has no right to wreck our history.”

The tweets have since been deleted, but the internet is forever.  Here is a capture of one courtesy of the Wayback Machine:

And here is another via Twitchy:

After deleting the above xenophobic rant, Eichenwald continued digging.

It wasn’t a complex point, it was very simple.

He wasn’t alone, of course, the leftie meltdown was insane.

A (minimalist-styled, less gaudily floral) Rose (Garden) is a (minimalist-styled, less gaudily floral) Rose (Garden) is a (minimalist-styled, less gaudily floral) Rose (Garden).

So, if we tune into what Howard Fineman et al former or wanna-be journalists seem to argue, Melania’s taste brought to DC’s most celebrated garden earns her the unmerited, gratuitously applied label of “neo-fascist”.

This, as those uncompromising, self-titled arbiters of fine taste forget or are ignorant of that ancient maxim in re to what rules the subjective, both the maker and the beholder of any art: “When it comes to taste, there is no dispute.”

To Howard et al, I’d say: When you or your other is elected president and it’s your family’s Rose Garden to influence, you can do it your way. In the meantime, let Melania live, breathe, and smell any color and number of roses her own way.

Besides, her husband loves her minimalist, less gaudily floral taste in horticulture. If you’d done your job according to its tile, you might have learned that by simply asking the president how he feels about his wife’s horticultural endeavors.

But you’re all busy judging harshly and insanely, rather than earning your living with decency and integrity.

Neo-fascist, huh? Interesting, and ironic. You know, friends help friends transforming into dictators; and democracy dies by the will and word of dictators.
