State Rep. LaShawn Ford called on the Illinois State Board of Education to require schools to stop teaching history classes until a “suitable alternative is developed,” because of course the current curriculum, “leads to white privilege and a racist society.”

    From Rep. Ford’s press release:

Rep. Ford Today in Evanston to Call for the Abolishment of History Classes in Illinois Schools

Concerned that current school history teaching leads to white privilege and a racist society, state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford, D-Chicago, will join local leaders today at noon at the Robert Crown Center in Evanston to call on the state to stop its current history teaching practices until appropriate alternatives are developed.

“When it comes to teaching history in Illinois, we need to end the miseducation of Illinoisans,” Ford said. “I’m calling on the Illinois State Board of Education and local school districts to take immediate action by removing current history books and curriculum practices that unfairly communicate our history. Until a suitable alternative is developed, we should instead devote greater attention toward civics and ensuring students understand our democratic processes and how they can be involved. I’m also alarmed that people continue to display symbols of hate, such as the recent display of the Confederate flag in Evanston.”

Attendees at Sunday’s press conference will discuss how current history teaching practices overlook the contributions by Women and members of the Black, Jewish, LGBTQ communities and other groups. These individuals are pushing for an immediate change in history changing practice starting this school year.

The miseducation of our children must stop,” said Meleika Gardner of We Will. “It is urgent that it comes to an end as we witness our current climate become more hostile. Miseducation has fed and continues to feed systemic racism for generations. If Black History continues to be devalued and taught incorrectly, then it will call for further action.”

Evanston Mayor Steve Hagerty notes “As Mayor, I am not comfortable speaking on education, curriculum, and whether history lessons should be suspended. This is not my area. Personally, I support House Bill 4954 because I am interested in learning more and believe the history of Black people should be taught to all children and include all groups, Women, LatinX, and Native Indians who helped to build America.”

It’s not just history that is being lynched by black supremacists like Ford. Math, engineering and science are already under assault. By burning history books Ford is establishing a beachhead that can be used to eventually require a political litmus test for all academic subjects.

Like any dumbing down of education the baleful effects won’t be felt for years to come. And you can be sure that those responsible for this catastrophe will never be held accountable. Instead, there will be a fresh doubling down on teaching black supremacy, quack science like man-made global warming, and similar educational malpractice.

Here is a chilling thought experiment. How would you like to drive across a bridge or enter a skyscraper designed and built by people who think mathematical theorems and structural safety analysis are racist constructs designed by white supremacists and to be eliminated? How about being operated on by doctors and nurses who were trained to regard biological sciences as environmental genocide and white people as murderous racist oppressors? This is not as far fetched a scenario as you may think.

Uh … none of them are overlooked. Sure, there are a few historical characters whose contributions aren’t given the weight they deserve but that happens more to white men (who have done the great bulk of shaping history in America) than anyone else.

As to perverts being overlooked, I think they mean that their perversions aren’t being proselytized to the young students; that only their actual accomplishments (for those with real accomplishments) are taught.

Blacks are certainly not overlooked. Quite the opposite. I was in elementary school when the whole Black History Month thing took off and we were forced to pretend that 2nd rate accomplishments by some handful of black men were somehow equal in importance to the works of Einstein and Columbus and James Madison … And now they are on some sort of push to claim that unskilled labor is, somehow, as important to the construction of something as the people who created it and managed it.

As to Jews, I don’t know why they tried to throw that in there. You can’t pick up a history book without reading about countless Jewish accomplishments. It is a total joke to try and include Jews in this list of peoples allegedly omitted from history lessons. Sure, they might not teach all that much about Chaim Solomon, but big deal. That is more a matter of the interest and the way he contributed than anything else. There isn’t even all that much discussion about how Washington contributed financially to the Revolution.

People who spout this obvious BS about history need to be slapped down in public. The biggest mistake we ever made was trying to appease these idiots and agreeing to teach exaggerations and lies to public school kids to help these people with their own self-esteem problems. Nothing good comes of lying like that.

And were these little scholars to be taught “proper” history, they would actually show up for class eager to learn, their fathers would come home, their mothers would get off of welfare, their friends, neighborhoods and relatives would stop beating, robbing and killing each other…. It’s just that we are insulting their intellects with a history that doesn’t reflect how they would rather history had been.

      “Gee Officer Krupke……..!”

Absolutely! Lies to boost self-esteem are the worst sort, as violence erupts when the lie is refuted.

“White folks was in the caves while we was building empires,

We built pyramids before Donald Trump even knew what architecture was…

We taught philosophy and astrology [sic] and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it…

Do some cracker come and tell you, ‘Well my mother and father blood go back to the Mayflower,’ you better hold your pocket. That ain’t nothing to be proud of, that means their forefathers was crooks.”

      – Al Sharpton 1994

Did Ford submit his proposal in crayon with lots of “Dick and Jane” illustrations?

Let’s just repeal Brown vs Board, reopen segregated schools, and all it a day. Give the black politicians what they want. Give the “Rebruns” what they want. Give the spotty, bloated, fat white, screeching women of both sexex in BLM what they want.

    Good and hard.
