Trump delivers an epic Independence Day speech at Mt. Rushmore
…upsetting protesters’ plans and causing the media to go on a gaslighting spree.

Last week, I predicted that the reason Mt. Rushmore was being targeted by social justice warriors so fiercely was because President Donald Trump was slated to be part of an Independence Day celebration at the historic monument. I theorized that it was because agitators wanted to disrupted the event.
It appears I was correct; however, the numbers and drama were limited:
About 15 protesters were arrested Friday after they blocked an access road to Mount Rushmore hours before President Trump was scheduled to give remarks to kick off Independence Day weekend.
According to the Associated Press, the protest group was mostly made up of Native Americans protesting that South Dakota’s Black Hills were taken from the Lakota people against treaty agreements.
One group parked three vans across the road and removed the tires from two of the vehicles to make it more difficult to remove them. Several demonstrators climbed on top of the vans chanting “Land back!”
The sheriff’s office said attendees had been told to arrive early and should have been past the roadblock by the time the standoff began. However, the Rapid City Journal reported that some motorists who had tickets for Friday evening’s fireworks show were unable to get through the protests and were standing by their cars watching the standoff.
In total, there were approximately 100 demonstrators:

The agitators clearly had little impact on the Independence Day celebration. The thousands of Americans who were attending or watching via television or streaming were treated to gripping speeches highlighting the best aspects of this nation.
While the entire evening was spectacular, the addresses by South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and Trump were memorable and touched upon the agenda of those who want to diminish this nation’s culture and history.
Noem summarized the civil unrest occurring in various American cities.
“Over the past several weeks, we have been witnessing a very troubling situation unfold. In real time, we are watching an organized, coordinated campaign to remove and eliminate all references to our nation’s founding, and many other points in our history.
“Rather than looking to the past to help improve our future, some are trying to wipe away the lessons of history. Lessons that we should be teaching to our children, and to our grandchildren. This approach focuses exclusively on our forefathers’ flaws. But it fails to capitalize on the opportunity to learn from their virtues.”
The governor added that statues were being deliberately removed to “discredit America’s founding principals” so the country could be remade. “To attempt to cancel the founding generation is to attempt to cancel our own freedoms,” she said.
She was so effective that many felt that her next office should be on a national level.

However, the highlight of the evening (besides the fireworks) was Trump’s stemwinder, which included real history lessons on Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln that mentioned key information America-bashers ignore. He also honored the best aspects of this country.
We will state the truth in full without apology. We declare that the United States of America is the most just and exceptional nation ever to exist on earth. We are proud of the fact that our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and we understand that these values have dramatically advanced the cause of peace and justice throughout the world.
We know that the American family is the bedrock of American life. We recognize the solemn right and moral duty of every nation to secure its borders and we are building the wall. We remember that governments exist to protect the safety and happiness of their own people. A nation must care for its own citizens first. We must take care of America first. It’s time. We believe in equal opportunity, equal justice, and equal treatment for citizens of every race, background, religion and creed. Every child of every color, born and unborn, is made in the holy image of God.
We want free and open debate, not speech codes and cancel culture. We embrace tolerance, not prejudice. We support the courageous men and women of law enforcement. We will never abolish our police or our great Second Amendment which gives us the right to keep and bear arms. We believe that our children should be taught to love their country, honor their history, and respect our great American flag. We stand tall, we stand proud, and we only kneel to Almighty God.
This is who we are. This is what we believe and these are the values that will guide us as we strive to build an even better and greater future. Those who seek to erase our heritage want Americans to forget our pride and our great dignity so that we can no longer understand ourselves or America’s destiny. In toppling the heroes of 1776, they seek to dissolve the bonds of love and loyalty that we feel for our country and that we feel for each other. Their goal is not a better America, their goal is to end America.
How effective was Trump? A glimpse of the headlines, declaring the speech to be “controversial” or “divisive” and indicating the President’s sole concern was Confederate statuary is proof that the remarks were historic. Clearly, the event was so good that the media was forced to go on a gaslighting spree.

This morning, I woke up in a country that was not the America of my childhood, not the beacon of freedom that we celebrated on the 4th of July, not the country people fought and died for. Instead, it is a country filled with rage, discontent, and manipulated tension. People created this disharmony on purpose, to fulfill their own vision of the future by erasing our history and brainwashing our children.
But we can get back what we’ve lost. We haven’t gone too far, not yet. We may be battered but we are not broken.
We can remind the younger generation what freedom really is, and in doing so, we can reclaim all the things that have made our country a beacon of freedom that people all over the world used to covet.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Don’t let those who would destroy our country continue to take it over. We can show the world yet again why the people of the United States of America are a force to be reckoned with.
We stand when united.
But we will fall if we continue to be divided.
The message I have today is this:
Be strong. Be brave. Be one with your brothers and sisters. Stand up for the rights of others as well as your own. Remember

If they were honest journalists, you’d think they’d at least provide a link to the transcript (or a video), So readers could see and judge the content for themselves? But(of course) they don’t.
I agree, it was a very good speech. It’s a shame so few Americans will actually hear or read it, and will see only these “journalists” interpretation of its content.
Are there truly so few journalists left who have not abandoned even the attempt to report objectivity in their mad rush to condemn Pres. Trump?
Our country is under attack from radical leftists. Mobs rampage through our streets, monuments are being destroyed, and the very law and order that ensures our communities’ peace and security is being undermined. In far too many instances, those bent on destruction have hijacked protests, creating violence and division and ultimately attacking the very foundation of our nation. For them, it’s not about resolving race issues; it’s about using racial discontent to forward their anarchist agenda like Antifa. While it is widely recognized as a far-left fringe group, another organization—just as radical—has managed to drape itself in more mainstream smokescreen called Black Lives Matter (BLM). The organization actually advocates an agenda that is completely out of step with American values. One look at the BLM organization’s website shows that the idea of protecting black lives and seeking justice is merely a vehicle to advance a different, radical set of ideas. The organization is more dedicated to gaining political power and remaking America according to Marxist ideology. The group’s platform includes planks unrelated to improving black lives, like calling for dismantling the family, saying, “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.” The breakdown of the black family and the rise of single-parent households is one of the root causes of poverty, crime, drug abuse and poor educational achievement in many black communities. Why would anyone who’s supposedly working for black progress want to tear down the very thing that helps to achieve it?
Just as disturbing is the fact that some of America’s biggest corporations are giving hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars to this organization and others whose misleading names conceal a more expansive and dangerous agenda.
Groups like Antifa and the BLM organization want to impose an ideology on America that would only bring greater poverty, a loss of freedom, destruction to churches and civil society, and violent law enforcement tactics to enforce compliance.
We’ve seen leftist protesters physically and verbally attacking police officers, an entire neighborhood turned into a violent “autonomous zone” with spineless politicians telling the police to stand down and let anarchists rule over innocent residents.
We’ve seen violent mobs defacing and toppling statues of historical figures such as soldiers and abolitionists. We must stop the violence and destruction and bring those committing criminal acts to justice while protecting the rights of good people to protest peacefully.
We must support our police officers who risk their lives every day to protect us no matter our color, religion, sex or nationality—while also making needed reforms like removing police unions to weed out bad cops and end unacceptable policing procedures.
Calls to defund the police are calls for chaos, and calls to disarm them are lunacy. We’ve seen what happens in Seattle, Minneapolis and other cities when criminals are allowed free rein.
Their Marxist agenda has wrought destruction on nations for generations. It expands government control and takes every opportunity to limit freedom—and it must not take root in the United States.
The most desperate communities in America have been run by the liberal left for a generation or more. We’ve seen what that leadership has brought: generational poverty, fatherless families, worse educational outcomes, more disparity and higher crime rates. Lurching even further left would be even more disastrous. Instead, we must implement conservative policies to ensure America’s promise of liberty and opportunity is a promise for all Americans. America is a land of promise, and conservative policies can make those promises ring true for all Americans.
