During the last few press briefings, the press peppered President Donald Trump with questions about his being tested for COVID-19 after meeting with a Brazilian official who tested positive for the pathogen.

During Saturday’s press conference, the president announced that he was tested for the Wuhan Coronavirus and that the White House had stepped up precautions related to protecting staff.

Trump also told reporters at a White House briefing that he had his temperature taken before stepping into the room and it was “totally normal.”

Trump had held out on testing for days, despite his interactions with at least three people who have since tested positive. Trump had said Friday that he would probably take the test at some point, but the White House doctor said as recently as Friday night that no test was called for because he wasn’t exhibiting symptoms.

But the president said he’d gone ahead with it after repeated questions from reporters at a news conference Friday.

On Saturday, the White House announced that it is now conducting temperature checks on anyone who is in close contact with Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, including reporters attending the Saturday White House briefing.

During the press conference, it was also announced that the European travel ban would be extended to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The President also said families affected by the virus will be given paid sick leave and indicated that he is considering travel restrictions from certain areas but did not specify which areas at this time.

Vice President Mike Pence provided a status update on the testing.

Vice President Pence said the focus of the US coronavirus task force is on testing and dealing with capacity issues in hospitals.

Testing for the virus will be free for everyone, according to Pence.

Surgeon General Jerome Adams had a message for the media, expressing a sentiment felt by an increasing number of Americans.

Coronavirus patient says disease ‘not the scary thing that everyone thinks it is’

Some good advice from someone who has a COVID-19 infection.

A man who tested positive for the coronavirus told Fox News on Saturday that people should stop freaking out about the outbreak.

“I’m not the one to advise the experts on this, but I personally believe that it’s not the scary thing that everyone thinks it is,” Mark Jorgenson told “Your World.”

Jorgenson and his wife were evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan. Authorities quarantined the ship after a man who exited in Hong Kong had tested positive. According to Jorgenson, his wife initially tested positive and stayed in Japan while he didn’t get a positive result until he was back in the United States.

Speaking from his hospital bed in California, Jorgenson said he was fine.

“I’m not symptomatic, my wife tested positive without symptoms and now is clear of it. So I would say maybe we can step back and breathe a little bit and not freak out,” he told Fox News host Neil Cavuto.

Chinese grandmother, 103, recovers from coronavirus after being treated for less than a week

A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother completely recovered from the coronavirus following six-day treatment in Wuhan.

The centenarian, Zhang Guangfen, was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon.

She is so far the oldest coronavirus patient to recover in China and two years older than the previous recorder-holder, 101.

Ms Zhang was cured within less than a week because ‘she did not have many underlying health conditions’, her doctor Zeng Yulan told the local press.

Trump was exposed, is 74 years old, and tests negative. This could be a matter of the president having a good immune system keeping the virus in check. This is probably the case with many people who are declared safe by physicians acting in good faith, and those people without symptoms (but carrying the virus) go out in public in good faith, and then breathe in proximity to people who aren’t as robust.

So, what we may be facing in 2020 is a healthy senior citizen (Trump) running against one who may well be going into dementia (Biden).

Hey – Joe may beat Trump in a push-up contest.
But Trump gets a TKO, as he did of that CNN blockhead in the video.

Or, Trump has access to the miracle drug keeping Ruth Bader Ginsburg above ground.

The journalists were sobbing at Trump’s negative lab test, as if Hillary had just lost a second time.
