Tulsi Gabbard’s Attorney Says Hillary Clinton Has Twice Rejected Attempts to Deliver Lawsuit Papers
Attorney Brian Dunne says Clinton’s refusal to receive the legal papers is a sign the failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee is “intimidated” by Gabbard.
Earlier this month, Tulsi Gabbard filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Hillary Clinton over remarks Clinton made during an October 2019 podcast. She suggested Gabbard was a “favorite of the Russians” and a “Russian asset” alongside the 2016 Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein.
The lawsuit made clear in no uncertain terms that the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate believed Clinton, the failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, made the comments “with actual malice” and knew it was false.
But a week after Gabbard filed the lawsuit her attorney has alleged Clinton’s handlers have twice rejected attempts to serve her with legal papers related to the lawsuit:
“I find it rather unbelievable that Hillary Clinton is so intimidated by Tulsi Gabbard that she won’t accept service of process,” the congresswoman’s attorney, Brian Dunne, told The Post. “But I guess here we are.”
Dunne said their process server first attempted to effect service at Clinton’s house in Chappaqua on Tuesday afternoon — but was turned away by Secret Service agents.
The agents directed the server to Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, who on Wednesday claimed at his Washington, DC, firm, Williams & Connolly, that he was unable to accept service on Clinton’s behalf, said Dunne.
Ironically, Clinton tweeted out that “no one is above the law” the day after the New York Post reported Dunne’s remarks.

Even well before Gabbard filed the lawsuit, she refused to back down in the face of Clinton’s unsubstantiated allegations. Within hours of reports about Clinton’s comments, Gabbard posted a series of tweets calling Clinton “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.”
She further went on to demand Clinton stop “cowardly [hiding] behind your proxies,” and urged her to join the Democratic race for president so they could face each other “directly.” Gabbard has also given numerous interviews on cable news programs like Tucker Carlson’s show condemning what she has said in so many words is a concerted effort by Clinton to undermine her presidential campaign.
Hillary Clinton’s only public response to date to Gabbard calling her out was a gif reply she made to a gif tweet then-presidential candidate Cory Booker posted on the issue:

In spite of her repeated claims that “no one is above the law,” Clinton herself has proven to be “above the law” on numerous occasions. But in the case of the Gabbard lawsuit, someone might want to clue her in on the fact that refusing to be served with legal papers does not make a lawsuit go away.

Tulsi should get Laura Loomer to serve Hillary
Why can’t the Process Server substitute service on the Agent present at the premises? If he refuses, get his ID and badge number, and drop serve by dropping it at his feet. Note the circumstances and the agent’s ID on the proof of service filed with the court. That’s a good serve in California.
Sounds good to me. He’s a person in charge. Let her worry about a 50 Mil default judgment.

I think they liked the idea of Hillary ducking being served. Tulsi will never see a penny from Hillary and she knows it. Hillary refusing service gets reported by all the media and it makes her look petty and small. Exactly what Gabbard wants.
