Progressive Students at Stanford U. Compare Ben Shapiro to an Insect on Flyer

“Nothing says fighting intolerance like depicting your political opponents as insects to be exterminated.”

Shapiro is set to give a talk at Stanford this week and a group of students who oppose his appearance have used a disgusting tactic on a flyer.

    The Daily Caller reports:

Stanford Students Compare Ben Shapiro To A Cockroach On Protest Flyer

A coalition of “concerned students” at Stanford are holding a silent rally against conservative journalist Ben Shapiro Thursday at 6 p.m. at the university’s famed Hoover Tower. That night, Shapiro will deliver a lecture to students in Memorial Auditorium. The theme of his speech is: “No, leftist idiots don’t get to raise my kids.”

Stanford College Republicans said they invited him because of his prowess as a conservative intellectual…

The protest flyer, meanwhile, includes roach spray called “Ben B Gon” with Shapiro’s picture emblazoned on the front in between a couple of roaches. Shapiro runs The Daily Wire and is also a longtime syndicated radio host.

“We are tired of of Stanford Administration’s complicity in putting Black, Brown, Trans, Queer, and Muslim students at risk by allowing SCR to bring Ben Shapiro to campus,” the flyer reads.

The lack of self-awareness on the part of these people is stunning.

Good to know all those $ paid in tuition at Stanford are being put to good use! The mere appearance of a conservative speaker puts all kinds of students “at risk.” Exactly how does that work? What kind of risk are we talking about? Words will be flying through the air and … and … and exactly what? Not only that, but these students are incapable of seeing the irony in protesting bigotry by portraying a political opponent as a cockroach. Yeah, these kids have bright futures ahead of them.

One thing we don’t know is how many militants are actually involved in this kind of attempt to suppress opinions they disagree with. Usually, it is a small group, and in the past, such people tried to do their worst and it led mostly to they themselves becoming objects of ridicule. The problem today, is that thanks to ‘wokeness’ and social media, students who might disagree and who would at least be willing to hear Shapiro out are afraid to stand up to radicals and their bullying tactics.

This is why pressure being applied by alumni of private institutions (and elected officials in the case of public ones) can be important if aimed at the right offenders: not even necessarily at leftist professors (who are also protected by the First Amendment, as well as ‘academic freedom’), but at administrators who try to promote a culture of ‘safe spaces’ and the protection of snowflakes from being exposed to ideas that might offend them. As long as one can speak out, the battle is not lost; what is killing the intellectual climate at universities today is that it has become so easy for a small grievance-driven group to stifle discussion.

Under the Nazis, Jews were indeed treated like vermin. The chemical used in the gas chambers was Zyklon-B, originally manufactured as a pesticide.

I find this quite revealing about the oh-so-“tolerant” leftists.

Oh, and if you were unaware of that detail, it means your history classes were woefully inadequate and you were cheated in 12+ years of school.

Unaware? My friend, history as it actually happened has not been taught to our children in decades. Their textbooks are left-wing revisionist history, teaching the kids that Western Civilization is evil and Communism is wonderful, leaving out most of the facts, including the small matter of more than 100 million innocent people murdered by their own Leftist governments during the 20th Century alone. They are completely unaware of facts, truth, and reality thanks to their Communist teachers and professors. This country is in a whole lot of trouble since these deluded and deranged children are our future.

I guess Kafka is no longer taught in the “woke” literature classes.
