Clinton Foundation Struggling Financially With No More Influence to Sell

Since the 2016 election and Hillary Clinton’s stunning defeat, the Clinton Foundation has struggled to raise money. As a result, the organization is losing millions of dollars to survive.

In the months leading up to the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton supporters would scoff when critics suggested the non-profit was nothing more than a family slush fund the Clintons used to sell influence. Now that the Clintons don’t control any high office and have no real access to sell, haven’t the critics been vindicated?

Clinton Foundation Reports $16.8 Million Loss in 2018

The Clinton Foundation reported a loss of more than $16 million in 2018, according to newly released tax records, marking the second consecutive year of losses since Hillary Clinton’s humiliating defeat to President Donald J. Trump in 2016.

The foundation reported total revenue of just $30.7 million, including $24.2 million worth of grants and contributions, a record low for the alleged “charity.” That figure was well short of the foundation’s total expenses for the year—$47.5 million— resulting in a net loss of $16.8 million.

The previous year, the Clinton Foundation reported a net loss of $16.1 million. In total, the organization has lost a staggering $32.9 million since Hillary Clinton’s lifelong quest for the presidency crumbled to dust in November 2016.

Shockingly, the foundation’s revenues have plummeted compared to the massive figures reported during Hillary’s tenure as secretary of state (2009 to 2013), and during her campaign as the Democratic Party’s essentially unchallenged presidential nominee in 2016.

The sudden crash is a real mystery, isn’t it? What happened to all the $500,000 speaking gigs?

Evie Fordham of FOX Business has a response from a foundation spokesman:

Foundation director Bruce Lindsey saw his reportable compensation stay about the same in 2018 as it was the year prior, when he was paid just over $362,000.

Clinton Foundation spokesman Brian Cookstra pushed back against media reports implying that the foundation is struggling.

“These reports are not accurate. Our entire 990 shows our work was fully funded by donations, grants, savings from prior years, and interest from our endowment,” Cookstra told FOX Business. “In the last year, the Clinton Foundation’s programs have grown to help more people, and we are committed to operating programs that are effective, efficient, and sustainable.”

It’s surprising that the Clinton Foundation is sputtering, now that Hillary has so much free time on her hands. She seems to prefer to use her energy going on late-night shows and hanging out on Twitter:
