Meet the Press: Former Obama Campaign Mgr. Calls Trump a Psychopath

A bridge too far for even Chuck Todd.

Obama’s former campaign manager David Plouffe appeared on Meet the Press and while commenting on Donald Trump, described him as a psychopath.

Even Chuck Todd, who’s not known as a right leaning pundit felt that was a little much.

    Politico reports:

Plouffe: ‘We have a psychopath running for president’

President Barack Obama’s former campaign manager on Sunday called Donald Trump “a psychopath.”

“We have a psychopath running for president,” David Plouffe said in an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” with Chuck Todd. “I mean, he meets the clinical definition, OK?”

After Todd pushed back that Plouffe isn’t a psychologist and that such claims frustrate voters, Plouffe elaborated, “The grandiose notion of self-worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and remorse. So I think he does; right, I don’t have a degree in psychology.”

Plouffe opined that the race is already unwinnable for Trump because, he said, Hillary Clinton is guaranteed 269 electoral votes, including those from Virginia and Colorado.

Hmm… Grandiose notion of self-worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and remorse?

Sounds like another politician America has gotten to know over the last eight years.

    Here’s the clip:

It’s also worth noting that Plouffe spent a significant amount of time in his interview defending the Clinton Foundation and even used the word “transparency” to describe it.

    From the NBC transcript:

    CHUCK TODD:

Let me go back to the Clinton Foundation, why is what was okay at State not okay as President? And it makes you wonder, why wasn’t there thought of former President Bill Clinton stepping down from the foundation eight years ago?

    DAVID PLOUFFE:

Well, listen, I think there’s been a lot of transparency. I think there’s been a great deal. Obviously, there’s releasing of donors. There’s a lot of information being released, which is why there is so much attention on this. But I think that it’s appropriate. By the way, I’m glad they’re not falling into the trap of shutting down the Clinton Foundation.

    CHUCK TODD:

    Why is that?

    DAVID PLOUFFE:

The Clinton Foundation does remarkable work, okay? All around the world. And I think as long as there’s the right transparency, the right accountability and those procedures are clear to the public, I think it’s a huge attribute and contribution to the world.

    CHUCK TODD:

Well, isn’t it a concern, though, if you’re at the Clinton Foundation and you’re a major donor, isn’t it a concern now if you’re a donor, considering how much of a political hot potato it could be, doesn’t it undermine the Clinton Foundation’s efforts because of the political nature now of things involving it?

    DAVID PLOUFFE:

I don’t think so. I think if you’re someone who cares about the work the Clinton Foundation is doing around the world, you’re going to be very, very passionate about continuing that work going forward. And if anything, I think people are going to kind of intensify. Because I think at the end of the day, these are political attacks. I get it, we’re in a political season. But it’s undeniable, okay? It’s a universal fact that the Clinton Foundation has been a great addition to the global scene.

Plouffe helped Obama become president in 2008. He obviously doesn’t want Obama’s legacy erased under a Republican administration.

      Of course, that’s a lie and you’re a liar.

I’m the leading proponent here of using medical and psychological terms carefully and appropriately.

So, when I observe that both Collectivist pukes are pathological personalities, people understand and know I’m right and even restrained in my observation.

David Plouffe on location in San Francisco. Says a lot. Isnt Nancy “We have to pass this bill in order to find out what’s in it” Pelosi’s Congressional District in San Francisco?
    Context, sometimes, is everything.

“The grandiose notion of self-worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and remorse.”

This sounds like Obama and Hillary.

Nike has swoosh for its trademark. Hillary has “What difference does it make!”

Considering the subject of discussion, the audience, and the seriousness, it, her trademark, offers little in the way for building a case that she’s empathic. There are other instances of her demonstrating a lack of understanding and empathy. It’s a long-standing pattern of behavior.

The big smile of hers and the laughter can’t gloss it over.
