The Internet Responds to New Trump/Pence Logo

The Internet Responds to New Trump/Pence Logo

    TP 2016!

With all the money, all the resources, and all the graphic design talent at their disposal, the Trump campaign, in conjunction with the RNC’s joint fundraising committee, decided to roll with TP2016. T.P. Which, given how the 2016 cycle has gone, I suppose is par for the course.

Shortly after Trump tweeted confirmation he’d selected Indiana’s Governor Pence as his running mate, the new logo graced a fundraising email and was slapped across the internet for all to see (and mock).

The logo is rather…suggestive. At least to many a politico and casual observer.

    This former Congressman wonders:

    What could’ve been…

    And scene:

Personally, I hate it. It’s busy, awkward, cheap, and bit pervy. But, it’s perfect for the 2016 dumpster fire. So at least there’s that?

Trump supporters should be angrier about the logo than the almost-too-obvious-to-state jokes about it. It is an insulting joke of a logo. Professional communications including logo design is meant to avoid unintentional messages. This is such a blatantly poor choice it was either done on purpose (to gain all this worthless chatter or as a joke on the candidates that made the final cut) or was aggressively supported by someone with too much power and too little judgment. Unfortunately, or perhaps appropriately, any of those three scenarios seems fitting for this campaign and is a great representation of what Trump appears to offer our country.

As a Trump supporter, I am neither angry at the logo nor the jokes. I just see the logo as a temporary sign until they become entitled to use the Presidential seal.

Kemberlee — the post suggests to me that you may have a vile and dirty mind. Do you use the term tea bagger also ?

They should have just paid more to have the logo designed. They only paid trumppence for it, musta had it made in the UK.
