    Not so fast, Hillary

    Not so fast, Hillary

Bill Whittle explains what to expect in the 2016 elections.

In his latest video, Bill Whittle offers a calm, reasoned analysis of the 2016 election so far. Although he doesn’t give any easy answers, he does a great job of allaying some of the anxiety many of us are feeling.

Whittle opens by describing how ancient map makers would mark uncharted waters with the words “Here be dragons” and carries the metaphor through his breakdown of an election unlike any in recent memory.

Starting with the Democrats, Whittle talks about Hilary’s email scandal and the ongoing FBI investigation. What will happen if she is indicted? No one knows. Could Biden step in? Will Democrats actually nominate Bernie? He points to the tech worker who was recently granted immunity and suggests that could be evidence of something bigger on the horizon.

On the Republican side, Whittle addresses the possibility of a brokered convention. What happens if the GOP denies the nomination to Donald Trump even if he’s the leader? What will Ted Cruz do? No one knows.

He addresses Trump’s high negative ratings but reminds us Hillary holds second place in that category. He also points out that Republicans have voter enthusiasm on their side while Democrats don’t.

Trump has done well with minority voters and appeals to many Democrats but at the same time has alienated many conservatives.

What does all of this mean for the 2016 election? Here be dragons.

    Enjoy…

When the news broke that the tech guy was granted immunity, it sounded promising, but it could be that he’s just being used. If his testimony points away from Hillary, the defense will be that he had nothing to lose, so he must be telling the truth. Clintons are corrupt to the core. Predictions are difficult enough in any election year. Much more so in this one.

“… he had nothing to lose …”

We don’t know if “the tech guy” had more than just words.

It is possible that he had a backup of her emails, which would require immunity due to the classified nature of some of the emails. If there is a backup, the lines of investigation open up to additional violations of the Federal Records Act, handling of classified information and possible “quid pro quo” deals using the Clinton Foundation to launder the proceeds.

That idea actually has some possibility behind it. If you’re in charge of an email server for Hillary, and there is no redundancy in the system, it would make sense to take monthly ‘snapshots’ of the Exchange mail database just in case the server blows a drive and the backups don’t work correctly to restore the system. After all, you’ve been assured that there’s no classified information in it, so there’s nothing illegal about burning a DVD every month and dropping it into a file cabinet, just in case Murphy clobbers the server. Worst case, nothing happens, and you’ve got a bunch of DVDs to shred in 2017. Best case, something bad happens to the server and you’re able to look like a genius by getting it going again in jiffy-quick time.

That is until the FBI tells you your file cabinet has enough classified material in it to send you to jail until the Tricentenial. Yeah, I’d be willing to deal at that point.

The other odd item in this regard is the extradiction of Guccifer (real name Marcel Lazăr Lehel) is a Romanian hacker to the US. Guccifer is the guy who revealed Hillary’s private email server.

On March 20, 2013, USA Today reported that Guccifer had successfully hacked the e-mail account of former aide to president Bill Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal. He distributed private memos sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton involving recent events in Libya, including the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack.

I’m sure they will be looking for any materials he may have, and Guccifer will be ready to deal.

The problem with interviewing soldiers after a battle is that you can only interview the survivors.
