Trump Treats Iowans to Showing of 13 Hours
Marketing savvy and a good deed.
The new Michael Bay film “13 Hours” is out now and is by all accounts, an accurate portrayal of the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya.
In a move that is as funny as it is politically savvy, Donald Trump is making sure the voters of Iowa get a chance to see it.
The Des Moines Register reports:
Trump rents Iowa theater to show Benghazi movie
Donald Trump has rented space at an Urbandale movie theater and will give Iowans free tickets to a showing of the Benghazi movie that critics of Hillary Clinton have been eagerly awaiting.
“Mr. Trump would like all Americans to know the truth about what happened at Benghazi,” the GOP presidential candidate’s Iowa co-chair Tana Goertz said Thursday night.
Trump will pay for the showing of “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” at 6 p.m. Friday at the Carmike Cobblestone 9 Theatre at 86th Street and Hickman Road, Goertz said.
“The theater is paid for. The tickets are paid for. You just have to RSVP,” she said.
The movie depicts the terrorist raid on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, 2012. It reportedly makes no mention of Clinton, then the U.S. Secretary of State, but has again raised the topic of the Democratic presidential candidate’s role in the tragedy, three months after Republicans grilled her on her response to the attacks during an 11-hour congressional hearing in October.

Movie Review: 13 Hours, A Great Movie and an Enormous, Enormous Problem for Hillary
13 Hours is, doubtless, the best film of Michael Bay’s career. It’s also an objectively good movie.
Let me get to the politics first. The film is not blatantly political. Do not doubt, however, that it does not have an overt political meaning. It’s overt — just not in-your-face.
The film is filled with the heroes wondering “When is someone coming to help us?”
There are shots of planes lying dormant while Americans are being shot to pieces.
There is an exchange where one soldier (actually, ex-soldiers working for the CIA called G.S.R.’s) says to the other, “I just saw on the news, they’re saying this is because of a protest.”
The other says: “I didn’t see any protest.”
And neither does the filmgoer– there is no protest. There is simply a coordinated attack which starts out of nowhere. It’s obvious what this is from the start; there is no “fog of war,” at least not about what started this.

And if The Donald gets enough people to want him, he will collect DELEGATES. And if he gets enough DELEGATES, he will be the nominee of the “R”epublican party for prezzie. So it is, RIGHT NOW, more important to campaign in IOWA than NYC. Cuz NYC Doesn’t have an election for MONTHS. I’ll bet Trump DOES RENT a movie theater in NYC to show “13 hours” before it’s over. I could think of a few venues in NYC that might make more sense.
Trump Tower, The UN, Times Square, The Freedom Tower, or Greenwich Village.

What Trump just did in Iowa is as brilliant as tossing Jorge Ramos out of his press conference. Whether he wins in Iowa or not, he’s keeping the heat on Hillary and keeping the movie in news. We know that the MSM will do their best to ignore it or dump on it, not just to protect Hillary but because they can’t stand anything that portrays Americans as tough or heroic. Besides, some of us have not forgotten how the Democrats played up “Fahrenheit 9/11” in 2004, so it’s fun to watch Her Highness squirm.
This movie needs to be seen by every American voter just before they have to chose between Hillary and the Republican candidate.
