Another Friday night Hillary Email Dump – minus the 22 Top Secret ones

Another Friday night Hillary Email Dump – minus the 22 Top Secret ones

244 more classified emails, including an entire Sid Blumenthal memo

    It’s Friday night.

So the State Department just released a new batch of Hillary emails. Because weekend.

There are 22 emails, however that will not be released:

The State Department has concluded there is “top secret” material in Hillary Clinton’s email correspondence from the time she was secretary of state, indicating that some of her emails will never be released, even in heavily redacted form, because they are too sensitive for the public to view.

State Department spokesman John Kirby said the material crosses seven email chains, amounting to 37 pages worth of material.

Hillary wants the 22 Top Secret emails released to the public:

Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said that Clinton said the emails should be released and called at least one case, “over-classification run amok.”

“We firmly oppose the complete blocking of the release of these emails,” Fallon said in a statement. “Since first providing her emails to the State Department more than one year ago, Hillary Clinton has urged that they be made available to the public. We feel no differently today.”

Of course she wants the Top Secret stuff released. Because that would then (potentially) relieve her of legal liability for mishandling the information.

The first bombshell is that an email with Sid Blumenthal was redacted completely because it was classified. But did he have security clearance?

We will update as the emails are reviewed.

It’s rash to assume that all is as it seems.

The State Department has concluded there is “top secret” material in Hillary Clinton’s email correspondence from the time she was secretary of state, indicating that some of her emails will never be released, even in heavily redacted form, because they are too sensitive for the public to view.

We have no idea what those e-mails are about. All we know is that State doesn’t want anybody to see them. Their reasons for that may be legit (they may contain genuine intelligence info which should be kept secret, whether or not Hillary’s non-secure server allowed access to them in the past), or not so legit (the e-mails may be serious criminal implications of Hillary, Obama, or anyone else the Party drones at State believe to be worth protecting).

We have only State’s claim that the reason is legit, a genuine case of intelligence security rather than a criminal coverup. But State is no more trustworthy than Hillary herself.

There’s also little reason to suspect that Hillary is up to anything particularly subtle or sophisticated. Clintonian tactics—both Bill’s and Hill’s—are very simple; but even simple tactics can be successful if they are applied automatically and consistently. That may be the most infuriating thing about America’s Clinton problem; all Clintons lie, and the lies are both constant and obvious. Yet they continue to not only get away with them, they profit enormously while doing so.

Of course she wants the Top Secret stuff released. Because that would then (potentially) relieve her of legal liability for mishandling the information.

I suspect the tactic is somewhat less sophisticated; rather, just another standard Clintonian gambit, simple but applicable in almost all crises. Once she’s fairly certain that her minions at State will keep her safe from whatever those e-mails might reveal, it’s time to start blustering and bluffing. That way she’s protected but can still put on a show of transparency—win-win! Recall that Bill used to do the same thing; when he thought his opponents were on the ropes, he’d attack. He didn’t to it very skillfully, and his clumsy, blustering assaults usually backfired, causing him another round of problems. But he’d manage to wriggle out of it all in the end. Here’s hoping that Hillary won’t be so lucky.

Clinton admitted guilt the instant she said she wasn’t aware that any emails were classified. National security laws are specific that neither good intentions nor ignorance are a defense. Simple negligence is all it takes to break said laws.

Just remember the INFORMATION is classified not the document.

Nor does it matter how it got to her. She possessed it on her unsecured server.

She, as the head of the agency, failed her responsibility to supervise her employees in the proper care and security of classified material.

This was not negligence, but a well thought out plan to evade the law. Intentions are hard to prove, but can be shown by her actions and correspondence

Hillary wanted her emails to be on an un-secure server so hackers from China and Russia could read them. She is just joining Obama who wants to destroy our country.
