Lindsey Graham’s Campaign Pulls the Plug

Lindsey Graham’s Campaign Pulls the Plug

4 down, a billion to go (approximately)

Monday, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham became the fourth Republican presidential candidate to call it quits.

“I got into this race to put forward a plan to win a war we could not afford to lose and to turn back the tide of isolationism that was rising in our party,” said Graham in a video message to his supporters. “I believe we’ve made enormous progress in this effort.”

Graham elaborated in an interview with CNN:

“I’m going to suspend my campaign. I’m not going to suspend my desire to help the country,” said Graham. “The one thing I feel really good about is that I did it with a smile on my face, I talked about things that are important to me and that somebody better fix one day.”

On his decision to leave the race, Graham said, “I’ve hit a wall. My campaign has come to a point where I need to think about getting out and helping someone else.”

If I have to find a reason I’m sad to see Graham hang up his presidential hat, it’s that his diplomacy through imbibing policy is leaving with him. “That’s the first thing I’m going to do as president — we’re going to drink more,” said during a presidential debate:

Now we just need to purge this idiot from the Senate.

First he was in then out, Then in. There is another big RINO that was taking up space on the Debate stage. There should be only 3 or 4 left on that stage. Maybe we could learn more from the serious 3 or 4.

There are 3 actual candidates left – Trump, Cruz and Rubio (though Rubio may be screwed after being hammered on not showing up to vote against that trash budget bill).

Everybody else in the race at this point is either running for VP (Carson, Fiorina), too arrogant to drop out (Jeb!), or just too dumb to understand that the conservatives are royally pissed off at their RINO asses (Christie, Kasich).

The next debate needs to be cut down to 4. Trump, Cruz, Rubio and whoever is highest in the polls.

Enough of this 9 people at a debate. That’s not a debate, that’s candidates given 10 minutes to spew talking points.

The real question now is who will his supporter vote for in the primary now? Anyone have Mom Graham’s phone number to take a “survey”?

“I got into this race to put forward a plan to win a war we could not afford to lose and to turn back the tide of isolationism that was rising in our party,”

I can safely say that this fellow’s ceaseless war posturing (along with so many of his fellow Rs) has me moving towards a more isolationist position. I hope he’s right about a rising tide of isolationism.

Why do all the typical politician/Senator stereotypes fit this guy to a T?
Senator Graham: you must be some kind of special dumba$$ to finally comprehend now that you had 0.0% chance at the White House. Ulterior motive perhaps?
