(Pardon my posts – LI doesn’t play well with my iPad)

According to Wilson, Brown gave him a pretty good beating in the vehicle. AndWilson had the wounds to show for it. Nothing apparently debilitating though – but they did x-Ray his jaw to make sure it wasn’t broken. All Wilson could think about was surviving. And, w/o a Taser, Mace likely to debilitate himself, and baton behind him, Wilson tried to draw his firearm. Brown grabbed it, and was twisting it to point at Wilson’s leg (or thereabouts). After shooting Brown, Brown ran away, and Wilson exited the vehicle and started after Brown, yelling at him. Brown turned around, got a crazy look, and started to charge. Wilson backed up, trying to apparently keep maybe 20 feet between, as he fired in multiple volleys, assessing the results each time, until head shots dropped Brown.

Firearm was a Sig Saur .40 S&W, shooting JHP. Wilson started with a whole magazine (12?) plus one in the chamber, and ended up with one round left. Maybe half hit Brown. Pretty scary that it took probably a half dozen probably 180-185 grain .40 S&W JHP rounds to stop Brown. My understanding was that some LEOs went to the .40 from the 9mm for more stopping power. Hard to believe that the only thing in Brown’s system was a lot of pot.

Just saw Darren Wilson’s hospital photos & medical report. Umm…

A lot of excitable Righties really blew it on that one. Kind of embarrassing, no? Don’t get me wrong, I believe in the Grand Jury system and I believe that in this case justice was served. It’s just that maybe there’s a teachable moment here for people prone to falling for any rumor or fake picture which seems to confirm their “side’s” position.

PS: I agree with the poster above, commenting here with an iPad is a real bear. One reason I don’t comment much anymore (I do still read & enjoy the posts though!). Prof Jacobson, if you or someone on your tech team have an iPad, try logging into this post (posts with lots of embeds seem especially problematic) and leaving a comment, also try pasting a link. I usually use Safari, but would be willing to try another browser if someone can vouch for it being more compatible with this site.

If what I heard and saw Monday evening was representative of the whole man, I’d like to see DA McCullough run for the US House.
