Revenge of the Gipper: Reagan best, Obama worst president since WWII

Revenge of the Gipper: Reagan best, Obama worst president since WWII

Obama worse than Bush — let that one sink in.

A Quinnipiac University National Poll released today confirms what conservatives across the country have known since 2008: that Barack Obama is a dreadful president. Via Quinnipiac University:

President Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, 33 percent of American voters say in a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today. Another 28 percent pick President George W. Bush.

Ronald Reagan is the best president since WWII, 35 percent of voters say, with 18 percent for Bill Clinton, 15 percent for John F. Kennedy and 8 percent for Obama, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.

Among Democrats, 34 percent say Clinton is the best president, with 18 percent each for Obama and Kennedy.

Meanwhile, just under half of voters polled believe that America would be better off with Mitt Romney at the helm:

America would be better off if Republican Mitt Romney had won the 2012 presidential election, 45 percent of voters say, while 38 percent say the country would be worse off.

There are two takeaways from this poll, and only one of them has to do with the fact that the majority of Americans are experiencing some serious buyer’s remorse over all the “hope and change” happening down on the border/in Benghazi/at our VA hospitals.

Out of the 1,446 people Quinnipiac polled, 61% of them believe that America’s worst presidential years have occurred between 2001 and 2014. Are voters just suffering from limited long-term memory? Or are they, as a group, more influenced by the media? (Jimmy Carter came in a distant 4th in the poll.)

Barack Obama’s first Presidential campaign revolutionized the way Americans consume digital content, and his operatives focused not only on the promise of a President Obama, but on the purported Hell that was 8 years of George W. Bush.

Since then, Republicans have been doing their best to catch up; what has resulted is a tidal wave of digital content that voters couldn’t escape if they wanted to. Short of completely unplugging and moving off the grid, there’s no way to avoid being inundated with countless Facebook ads, promoted Tweets, Google ads, TV spots, and radio ads demanding their attention on behalf of this candidate or that national group.

Since 2008, we’ve blamed Bush, we’ve blamed Obama, and we’ve blamed each other for America’s slow march off a steep cliff.

Who could blame the American public for being less than enthusiastic about the two Presidents who have borne the brunt of our digital discontent?

“Obama worse than Bush — let that one sink in.”

That’s supposed to be the shock??

Obama’s been worse than even Carter since he took office. Carter’s probably the only US citizen to actually benefit from the Obama calamity: he’s no longer the worst President in US history. Plus, once Obama’s out of office, Carter can hand off his job as Spokesman for the terrorist group HAMAS and retire peacefully to a life of fending off rabbits with rowboat oars.

Even more startling is the fact that Bush faced a full six years of virulent opposition from the press, during which time he was vilified and made to look alternatively stupid or an evil mastermind. Obama has had over six years of adulation from the press, covering up or ignoring his scandals, faults, associations, and incompetence.

So that Bush is recovering while the media is still cheerleading for Obama is telling. History will judge quite differently.

Peggy Noonan and Matt Continetti have recently postulated that Obama has “checked out” and will play golf and party to run out his term.

I disagree. I don’t think he ever “checked in.” He is lazy and worthless and NEVER did anything but party and play golf and speechify. And raise money, and take vacations.

Even the PPACA (“ObamaCare”) was written by Pelosi and Reid’s people in Congress.

Every single budget Obama presented has been defeated in the Democratic-controlled Senate, usually unanimously.

He has always been useless, a puppet of leftist crooks like Valerie Jarrett.
