Touré apologizes for “power of whiteness” Holocaust survivor tweet

“I am very sorry and will make sure this doesn’t happen again”

    Touré! Touré! Touré! did this:

    And now he’s apologized:

He’s not even remotely sorry and was most likely forced to apologize. I guarantee he still agrees with his tweet.

Tweets are typically sent impulsively, without editor input or screening (and probably against network rules for on-air ‘talent’). I’ll bet that’s the motivation of his ‘apology’ – he got called upstairs at MSNBC.

I’m sure Toure will soon get back to praising the 590,000 or so privileged white men who were killed, wounded, captured, or went and stayed missing while fighting to secure the union and end slavery during the Civil War.

“It was a dumb idea by me to debate serious and nuanced topics in 140 characters or less”
There is nothing nuanced about the topic. It’s pretty straight forward, actually: The Holocaust = bad.

So, now he’s a sorry, despicable human being. I’ll buy that.

While we’re being insensitive, take a look at that photo Touré … he looks like Eddie Murphy doing “Buckwheat”
