Gosnell gets life sentence, no death penalty

Gives up appeals in plea deal

    Just breaking.

Convicted Pa. Abortion Doctor Gets Life in Prison:

A Philadelphia abortion doctor convicted of killing three babies who were born alive in his grimy clinic agreed Tuesday to give up his right to an appeal and faces life in prison but will be spared a death sentence.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, was convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the deaths of the babies who were delivered alive and killed with scissors….

Prosecutors agreed to two life sentences without parole, and Gosnell was to be sentenced Wednesday in the death of the third baby, an involuntary manslaughter conviction in the death of a patient and hundreds of lesser counts.

Prosecutors had sought the death penalty because Gosnell killed more than one person, and his victims were especially vulnerable given their age. But Gosnell’s own advanced age had made it unlikely he would ever be executed before his appeals ran out.

    “K. Hummel @KariHummel

How can you be #prolife when it comes to babies but #prodeath when it comes to an adult.

    Hypocritical religious. Figures

Simple K. Hummel, it’s very simple. Pro-life people are for putting to death those who murder the innocent. It goes to the right to life at it’s core. Those who take the right away from others, without due process of law, do not deserve it themselves.

As for hypocrisy, The murderer is pro-life when it comes to himself, but not his victims? That’s hypocrisy.

If nothing else the twatering left has demonstrated a lack of intelligence far beyond what was previously believed. How do you consider yourself an intellectual superior when you’re incapable of distinguishing between the life of a newborn and the life of a murderer?

Instead of focusing on the heathen’s sentence, we should be rejoicing over the criminal conviction. It sets a precedent and is going to be very helpful in the legal fight to get pre-born children legally defined as a “person”. When babies are given personhood by legal definition, then all rights of the Constitution will apply to them–life, liberty, pursuit of happiness.
