Without consideration for human rights, but with consideration of equal protection, if there was brain activity, then every abortion was an act of premeditated murder. Both Gosnell and the mothers are guilt of crimes against the individual, society, and humanity.

Doctors were able to measure brainwave activity 6 weeks (day 43) after conception in the early 1960s; more recent research has documented infant brains have activity that mimics adult activity (in terms of mature receptor activity and other spontaneous neural activity), and that sleep/wake cycles are measurable by EEGs by week 28.

Need to edit–brainwave activity mimics adult by 20 weeks.

Exactly. We already have the technology necessary to assess and enforce objective standards. If equal protection is to mean anything at all, then it must follow objective standards. If a human life ever has value, then the criteria by which it is judged must be determined and assessed equally throughout its life, from conception to grave.

First – the verdict is the one I wanted to see.

What still troubles me – he’s only “guilty” because he killed while three babies outside the womb.

Sorry state to be in when life is only defended when outside the womb.
