Put the 844-page Immigration Bill on ICE for a while

Put the 844-page Immigration Bill on ICE for a while

And the reason we need “immigration reform” urgently is?

I’m getting very uncomfortable with the rush to vote on an 844-page bill.

Let it hang out in the air for a while.

If it doesn’t stink, the fresh air and sunshine won’t hurt it.

If it does stink, the fresh air and sunshine will do it good.

Ted Cruz is asking hard questions and challenging assumptions, and is being demonized for it. That tells me much of what I need to know.

Chuck Schumer is clucking like he’s the King Rooster. That tells me the rest of what I need to know.

Update 4-23-2013: From Politico, you see why Schumer is clucking, Immigration reform could be bonanza for Dems:

The immigration proposal pending in Congress would transform the nation’s  political landscape for a generation or more — pumping as many as 11 million new  Hispanic voters into the electorate a decade from now in ways that, if current  trends hold, would produce an electoral bonanza for Democrats and cripple  Republican prospects in many states they now win easily.

Remember, we are not talking about 11 million new voters who are here legally; if organic electoral growth were at issue, that would be entirely legitimate.  But we are talking about giving a bonanza of currently illegal voters to the Democrats through immigration “reform” and a pathway to citizenship for people who broke our laws to get here.

My personal Litmus Test: If Chuckie Schumer LIKES IT, I’m against it. Period.

The behavior by these senators confirms that the entire legislative process is corrupted, and they themselves are. Not only are they trying to scam the American people, but the abomination that this bill is shows the total lack of respect for the rule of law, the rights of American citizens, and the well-being of the country. They’ve ignored the enforcing of current border laws, why would this be any different?

As far as Rubio goes, not only has he been seduced but he has also been taken over by the scum members of this so-called gang of 8. It’s frightening to see how Congress really legislates, and how corrupt the government is. These people function without a conscience…

If this abomination of a bill passes, I’m afraid the GOP can consign themselves to a few decades in the wilderness. The base, which is the only group that actually has at its core, the wonderful, traditional vision for America and respect for the Rule of Law, and the Constitution – will simply stay home the next couple of election cycles. Really, it’s a simple question we’ll all be asking ourselves…”what difference does it make?” re: Dem or GOP? No difference. The harms already been done.

Let’s try something really, really unheard of; read the actual law before it is voted on. If all of us ask our Senators for a copy of the law what do you bet that they cannot produce the actual law. I am in Floriduh so I’ll contact our junior Senator’s office to see if they can produce it. He does seem to have some knowledge of what is in it. Or has the Senate adopted the Pelosi rule?

“We have to pass the (health care 844 page) bill so you can find out what is in it”.

I call BS on those making excuses for Rubio–duped, suckered, seduced–mistake, miscalculation….whatever.

Sounds like the left making excuses for Obama.

Not even possible this is who he is, is it? No, he’s too smart to be that stupid. Yea, he’s dumb enough to get snookered by Schumer, but he’s really a smart guy, and should be President.

11 million* illegals forced to live in the shadows

Millions of gays forced to live in the shadows

Women forced to have abortions in the shadows

When you start using the same language as progressives, you’ve lost me. Forever.

    Rubio’s press secretary says-

“We haven’t had a cohort of people permanently living in the US without full rights of citizenship since slavery”

    Rubio’s Chief of Staff:

“This legislation will create millions of new taxpayers, allow companies to continue to grow in the US, and make it easier for entrepreneurs and job-creators to immigrate to the U.S.”

Goes to war with Heritage Foundation over static vs dynamic scoring, an accounting trick the libs use-

*11 million is a bogus number, but that’s a different rant. Any politician that uses it is either ignorant or purposely deceitful
