Breaking — Arrest in #BostonMarathon bombing? (Update: Networks backtrack)

Various news reports of an arrest in the Boston Marathon Bombing, or an impending arrest.

Remember, early reports the day of the bombing were inaccurate — so don’t bank on it yet. Not sure if this amateur sleuthing was accurate or not.

Worth rereading: Judge William Young sentencing the shoe bomber:

See that flag, Mr. Reid? That’s the flag of the United States of America. That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag still stands for freedom. You know it always will. Custody, Mr. Officer. Stand him down.

Will activate Twitter feed and will update as hard news comes in:

UPDATE 2:50 — Networks are now backtracking, claim no arrest yet.

FBI denies arrest, says “unintended consequences” to false media reports.

“Hey Chief! That was Holder’s office. They said we have to release him. He doesn’t fit the description of the perpetrator. He said to let him know when we have a white male in custody”

Nothing better than liberals openly praying the perpetrator(s) are white, Republican males with no regard for the victims or justice. But they care more than we do so it’s cool.

The reporting on this story has been atrocious. The networks and cable outlets have been worse than Drudge in putting up every single rumor and guess out there., the “Other McCain’s” new gig, has been one of the few sources of sober, verifiable information.

@chucktodd kind of like when your industry generalizes conservatives and Tea Party based on actions of a few
