Progressive support for Native Americans — a mile wide and an inch thin

A recent comment from an old post, Why America Should Care:

I used to support native American causes. I never will again. The one really bright hope we have in the US congress you are attacking over something TOTALLY frivolous. Could it have something to do with tribal banking and casino activities?

The precise quote from Bobby Jindal’s Gridiron Dinner speech:

Great to see the new Senator from Massachusetts – Elizabeth Warren. My staff tells me we’ve got a lot in common.

Well from one Indian politician to another, I want to wish you all the best in your new job.

Wow, Gov. Jindal’s a Cherokee too!

So Joad is part of the Kool-aid Krowd prepping the field for “the one really bright hope” those smarter than us are pushing for 2016. Somehow it seems fitting to replace one master liar in the WH with another, but that might just be me.

“The one really bright hope we have in the US congress you are attacking over something TOTALLY frivolous.”

If Eliz. Warren is the “one really bright hope we have…” either I’m not part of the “we” or the definitions of “bright” and “hope” have changed.

If claiming to be a minority for a while just to get a better job is “TOTALLY frivolous,” then I’m going to fill out my next job applications as “Pacific Islander.” Yes I have blue eyes and pale skin, but question me about it and you’re just racists!
