Teachers Union releases hit piece video against director of Hating Breitbart

You would think the Chicago Teachers Union has too much going on right now to wage a personal campaign against a local filmmaker.

School starts September 4, and CTU is about to authorize a strike after having been embroiled in a contract standoff with Mayor Rahm Emanuel. And they’ve been busy deploying union members all over town (even up to Wisconsin) to participate in protests with Occupy, against Scott Walker and NATO, and various other activities that are completely unrelated to teaching.

Nevertheless, they had the time to produce a 23-minute hit piece video on Andrew Marcus, director of the upcoming documentary Hating Breitbart, and an organization for which he produced a short documentary, Education Action Group.

What did Marcus and EAG do to cause the Chicago Teachers Union to release a 23-minute video just about them?

They worked with FOX News’s Juan Williams to produce “A Tale of Two Missions,” which “examines the reform battle being waged in Chicago between advocates for school choice and the CTU.”

For this, the CTU refers to Marcus as a “right-wing extremist” and his blog, Founding Bloggers, as “radical.”

The Teachers Union may also have been upset about Marcus’s coverage of some of their protest marches, particularly the documentation of their collaboration with Occupy and Anarchist organizer Lisa Fithian:

According to Marcus, “The leadership of CTU premeditated their own arrests with the help of self-proclaimed anarchists, and yet they smear my reputation. They should apologize to me and the law abiding people of Chicago who deserve teachers who put children above radical politics.”

I’ve been documenting the strange bedfellows the Chicago Teachers Union has been keeping, particularly during the Occupy “spring” and NATO protests. If they are so concerned about the children, maybe they ought to quit going to anarchist and Occupy protests and using children as cover for their own far-left political agendas.

And if putting their resources into attacking Andrew Marcus and EAG for exposing the truth about their activities–and about the woeful state of education in Chicago today–results in a hit-piece video 23 minutes long, what will they do if the mainstream media ever started reporting on them?

Hopefully, taxpayers are paying attention to the extortion tactics employed by public unions.

Hopefully, American citizens are paying attention to the 10% of GDP federal deficit which is a covert 10% (regressive and progressive) tax on every taxpayer and taxable entity.

The public unions have overstayed their welcome and perhaps the were never actually welcome. Obama has overstayed his welcome and he was never welcome by people who reject redistributive change (i.e. involuntary exploitation) on principle.

    No taxation without representation!

It takes seriously stupid parents to send there children into a public school system which primarily exists to bankrupt their children.

In return for 12 years of ‘free public school education’ the kids will be bankrupt for life.

It is the unions but more importantly so much of the ed establishment is aware education was weaponized years ago. It is the institution everyone goes through so it is the perfect vehicle to take down the noetic system of the West, especially the US. The unions and the profs and the community organizers who want power simply limit knowledge and cultivate the values, attitudes, beliefs, and feelings via the schools. They have thus interfered with everything that guides most human behavior and they have known that for years.

Every time the Chicago schools learned Mastery Learning did not work they renamed it and kept at it. Ignorant and aggrieved is a powerful political weapon.

When I saw Stanley Kurtz’s work on the Regional Equity Movement and the Building One America conference I saw how ed fit in and have been working on that aspect. On top of the unions the community organizers and the racial equity theorists come crashing through very quickly. is the story I wrote on how the urban schools are being kept weak to be the wick and spark for a stealth rebellion.

In France the leverage to gut academics was race. Here it is gender, race, and ethnicity.

We have to stop the gutting of academics. Without the unitary self that john powell wants to target, there is only the politically connected.

And there is little freedom or equity there.

“..what will they do if the mainstream media ever started reporting on them?”

Fortunately they will never have to face that problem. Not in Chicago. No way!

    OT, but check this out:

Electoral College Prediction Model Points To A Mitt Romney Win In 2012

Two University of Colorado professors, one from Boulder and one from Denver, have put together an Electoral College forecast model to predict who will win the 2012 presidential election and the result is bad news for Barack Obama. The model points to a Mitt Romney victory in 2012.

Ken Bickers from CU-Boulder and Michael Berry from CU-Denver, the two political science professors who devised the prediction model, say that it has correctly forecast every winner of the electoral race since 1980.
