Obama skipping big Chicago African-American parade, but in town for fundraisers

This Saturday, Chicago will hold its annual Bud Billiken Parade, “the oldest and largest African American parade in the country,” without its previously announced Grand Marshall President Barack Obama.

Organizers were surprised to learn in late June that he would be backing out; what is even more surprising is that Valerie Jarrett is sending the replacement, her staffer Michael Strautmanis.

It is quite a let-down for organizers of the parade, the theme of which is “Education: Built to Last; a Tribute to President Barack Obama,” a topic that appears to have been built around the expectation that the President would be taking part.

And communications have been confusing; the chairman of the parade reports that all communications had gone through the White House, but the cancellation was done through the campaign office.

What is confounding is that the President will actually be in Chicago this weekend for a series of swanky fundraisers, where $40,000 per person can get you within mingling distance of the President at his Kenwood home, and $5,000 gets you into Obama best friend Marty Nesbitt’s home. $1,000 gets you into the home of Barbara Bowman, the mother of Valerie Jarrett.

Obama was the Grand Marshall of the parade in 2007 and would have been the first sitting president to take part in the parade.

Perhaps he’ll surprise the disappointed organizers with an impromptu appearance. But at least Valerie Jarrett will be represented.

The parade organizers s/b grateful. The One could have been even more callous and just sent The One’s Teleprompter which would have placed on the bed of a GMC pickup, waving to the crowd.

…and they’ll swallow their disappointment, and still vote for him.

Just like the Reverends who called a presser to accuse Obama of being “Judas” on gay “marriage.” Purely perfunctory, a check in the block; otherwise, why take the edge off by doing it in July? It will be long-forgotten in November, by which time everyone will have linked arms and made up. (Note “quotation marks” around marriage in that context, enough for the Tolerant Left to classify me a hater.)

Weird Parallels Dept.: Democrats use and abuse blacks the same way the GOP does conservatives.
Weird Parallels Dept., Idle thought Branch: if conservatives and blacks united, the GOP and Democrat parties would go out of business overnight.

If people would simply stop putting party over principles, it would be a different world. But it’s never ever the right time to do the right thing. That is why common sense is not common. Common sense is for those rubes who “just don’t get it”. Up is down, good is evil,….

Gee, now only 99.2% of black Chicagoans will vote for Obama. Big mistake there by Sparky McEarflaps.

I’ve long thought that Obama doesn’t care for black people. In his mind, he’s not really black, and he isn’t. He’s a mulatto. Besides, as a citizen of the world, he cannot limit himself to any one ethnicity, besides the ummah, that is. Remember, the guy had to marry a black woman in order to learn what he thinks it is like to be black–Frank Marshall Davis indoctrinated him into Communism but apparently not into the “brotha” thing.

Heck, Obama couldn’t even connect with those whose community he was organizing enough to help them when they lived in his friends’ slums. They should’ve got off their duffs instead of waiting for some dumb “community organizer” to help them.

Obama is the POTUS of all America, but he has scant regard for both blacks and whites–ah, you guys thought I’d left you out, huh? People are pawns to be used to serve his greater purpose while he despises them for being dupes not smart enough to see through his BS rhetoric. Then, when he gets competition, he despises them for not bowing at his styrofoam altar.

Here is an Ron Virmani, an East Indian Obama supporter on “ugly black babies”: http://washingtonexaminer.com/abortionist-sees-aborting-ugly-black-babies-as-a-service-to-the-taxpayers-apparently/article/2504231. Obama agrees with him on the need to kill the babies even as he wants those babies on welfare.

As for those living “ugly black babies” in Chicago who expect Obama to be grand marshal at their parade… feh! Somebody needs to remind them Obama’s a Margaret Sanger fan.

I think he likes blacks more than he does whites. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t be shutting NASA down. The question them becomes, “Does he like blacks very much?” The answer is no, because he only “likes” people with the power, money and influence to advance him so he can advance his agenda, which mostly targets whites. I think blacks, to obastard, are kind of like a box of nails. They’re a useful implement in his big picture, but they are uselss, inanimate, powerless objects with no real identity of their own until he, the hammer, gives them the useful purpose of building and supporting his power structure by driving them to action.

No, he thinks blacks are an acquired taste to do what the rest of your response says. Do you realize he has disdained every aspect of the black constituency? The media. The churches. The social events.

I’ve long thought that Obama doesn’t care for black people. He doesn’t much care for whites either. In his mind, he’s not really black, and he isn’t. He’s a mulatto. He used to fit in quite nicely with whites but he thought that wasn’t good for his political aspirations.

His cover as a citizen of the world is bogus because the one group with which he finds himself considerably at ease is the Islamic Ummah. He has never rejected them whereas he has rejected everyone else in the rest of the world. That’s where he is at home inside his head, IMO. That’s his comfort level.

Apart from the Ummah, for Obama, people are pawns to be used to serve his greater purpose while he despises them for being dupes not smart enough to see through his BS rhetoric. Then, when he gets competition, he despises them for not bowing at his styrofoam altar.
