    Stop it at 20 seconds

    Stop it at 20 seconds

This is the first ad as part of Crossroads GPS $25 million ad buy.

The first 20 seconds are powerful.  Listening to Obama make excuses is powerful mockery, the most effective kind because it’s his own lame words.  The last 10 seconds were not nearly as effective as listening to Obama make a fool of himself.

I’d stop it at 20 seconds, or spend the last 10 seconds with more of the same.

Let his own words be his downfall.

I’m not crazy about the tag line to “tell Obama to cut the debt…” Are you kidding? At this point it’s not about “telling” Obama anything (he not only was never listening but he was contemptuously ignoring), it’s about decisive electoral action.

she says Obama never blames the outrageous spending and skyrocketing debt, but that is not true. He did call Bush irresponsible and unpatriotic for his spending and debt, running up the children’s credit card, AND Obama promised to cut it, (in half? I can’t find what he promised.)

So for the last 10 seconds, chart Bush spending with Obama’s words (audio) describing it and the words “irresponsible and unpatriotic” under it in quotes.

Then continue the chart with Obama’s promised spending and debt in one color, and his reality in another … extended with planned trillion dollar deficits for the next decade. Then repeat Obama’s words, that’s irresponsible, that’s unpatriotic.
