    Shopping list

    Via Think Progress:

… you may be unwittingly helping finance right-wing attack ads.

That’s because many of the country’s most common brands are run by rich conservatives who are using their personal wealth to bankroll outside spending groups that are running attack ads smearing progressives….

The following list of consumer brands either have leaders who wrote checks to outside right-wing attack ad groups or gave money directly from the corporation. Only entities that gave $25,000 or more were included in this guide.

Okay, okay, you don’t have to belabor the point. You had me at “helping finance right-wing attack ads.”

I’ll support all of them (but not the L.A. sports teams, there are limits to principle).

Hooah! BLUEBELL ICE CREAM, Brenham, Texas
You know, Texans need to get the word out about BlueBell.
MOOOlenium is heavenly! Bluebell just started distributing in New Mexico but, you know, they are SOO good they need advertising in other states to distribute there. Easterners don’t know what they’re missing. Forget Haagen Daz! No comparison!

I knew there was a reason I always buy AngelSoft…

I keep hearing that Anthropologie (and Urban Outfitters) are owned by a conservative. I suspect it’s an urban legend.
