If I told you I’d have to …

    From reader Jon:

I’ve observed you’ve been playing a few AC/DC videos in the right margin… I don’t know if that was in relation to this, but if not, figured you’d want to see it….

Awesome: Latest Cyber Attack Against Iran Nukes Plays AC/DC All Night

Possibly the greatest virus ever?  Here’s an email from an Iranian nuclear scientist:

I am writing you to inform you that our nuclear program has once again been compromised and attacked by a new worm with exploits which have shut down our automation network at Natanz and another facility Fordonear Qom.

According to the email our cyber experts sent to our teams, they believe a hacker tool Metasploit was used. The hackers had access to our VPN. The automation network and Siemens hardware were attacked and shut down. I only know very little about these cyber issues as I am scientist not a computer expert.

There was also some music playing randomly on several of the workstations during the middle of the night with the volume maxed out. I believe it was playing ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC.

Hackers: they’re only bad when they work for the opposing team.

Turn up the volume, and listen infidels!

I think that selected excerpts of speeches from the late Shah would also be suitable for their listening pleasure.

They love metal in Iran, too.

Since when does metal do bagpipes? Pure Melbourne rock

I guess ACDC a warfare is under the ANZUS treaty.

BTw I heard your Marines are waking Darwinians up too early with some sort of singing at ungodly hours. More than a few STFU s yelled out from locals.

I think metal does pretty much anything these days.
Middle Eastern black metal bands are popular around here — not that I would know anything about such things in my old age, especially Iranian bands, and I was once given the name of an Israeli band which I promptly forgot. They blend belly dancing with metal.

The guy recognized the band and the piece. Interesting. I love that “infidels” bit at the end. Nice to have that label applied in the right place.

In the good old days, it was said that even the best helo was “40-thousand spare parts flying in loose formation”.

I guess with these new machines, I’d up that to about “90-thousand spare parts” and maybe change it to “close formation”.

    Rotor-wing still scares me. 🙄

    Thanks for the video!!

Now that is a dirty deed.

And, compared to bombing, it’s done dirt cheap!
