Harry Reid still is Harry Reid

Harry Reid still is Harry Reid

Up to his usual games, via The Hill:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has scheduled a vote Tuesday to bring up legislation to extend tax relief to small businesses that increase their payrolls.

Republicans question whether it is a sincere effort or just a messaging vote. One GOP aide noted that Reid is not using a House-passed legislative vehicle to pass the tax cut. This will make it tougher to pass, because all revenue-raising measures are supposed to originate in the lower chamber.

The takeaway from Reids plan is it exhibits the lengths the administration will go to get positive headlines. Reids Bill wont go anywhere and he knows it…but for a day folks got the impression that the administration was in the corner of small business.
Gibson Guitar may have a different perception.

    Mr. Reid,

Business doesn’t increase if you have more people. We hire more people when business demands it.

    It’s the economy, stupid.

Didn’t Dick Smothers play “Harry Reid” in a mafia movie?
