Obama’s political pandering quasi amnesty speech interrupted by reporter

    Who asked a question.

And the MSM is going wild on Twitter.

    Here’s the offense:

The “offender” was Neil Munro from The Daily Caller.

Neil Munro, White House Correspondent: “I always go to the White House prepared with questions for our president. I timed the question believing the president was closing his remarks, because naturally I have no intention of interrupting the President of the United States. I know he rarely takes questions before walking away from the podium. When I asked the question as he finished his speech, he turned his back on the many reporters, and walked away while I and at least one other reporter asked questions.”

I believe Yoo makes the clearest case here at Nat Review:

When Obama pulls this stuff we seem to get tangled in the result argument rather than the clear and simple legal discussion.
That was the weakness really around Romney’s response.
Its a political response that avoids Obama’s method.

And believe me..its so tempting to get drawn into the entire immigration/deportation and lose focus around Obama’s obvious overreach here.

What we should be focused on is simple it seems to me:

Mr President are you saying the executive branch can pick and choose which laws are enforced? To reflect the executive’s policy objectives?

      Exactly. Well said.

Good insights. Let’s fine tune a little. Yea, sort of anal, but we need to be very specific and directed with these azzhats…

“…saying the executive branch can pick and choose which laws are enforced?…” THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH ‘EXECUTES’ LAWS MADE BY CONGRESS. THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH DOES NOT ‘ENFORCE’ ANYTHING.

      Keep up the dialogue.

Whet we need to take away from Obama’s responses yesterday are simple: “I’m not asking for an argument”.

Well no kidding Mr President. Not even a discussion with Congress.
Rather than get involved with responses and discussions (as we did with his gay marriage position/misdirection), we need to focus on the law.
He needs to be painted as some near Pharoah and reminded this doesnt work in the US

“So it is written/ shall it be done”

I also sent this along to Dan Riehl at his place.
Those 800,000 innocent boys and girls? Saved by Obama?
Really? Where did that figure come from?
So I looked. The Census folks dont keep recorde like that but I did find a reference here

My guess was the number came up in relation to the esclating deportation rate under Obama…which if continued may have expelled 800K by election date. But thats a broad number based on deportations of all illegal folks…not just children.
Check the last two paragraphs and the date.
