    Thin. Skinned.

    Via Media Bistro:

FNC’s Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry got the first question at today’s joint news conference between Pres. Obama and Lee Myung-Bak, President of South Korea. Henry asked the president about the alleged Iranian terror plot, and used a quote from GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney who had criticized Obama’s leadership.

Obama responded with, “I didn’t know you were the spokesman for Mitt Romney.”

Good journalistic question pertinent to international affairs and the current situation:

What specific steps will you take to hold Iran accountable, …

Political posturing typical of Fox News:

‘specially when Mitt Romney charged last week quote, ‘If you do not want America to be the strongest nation on Earth, I am not your President. You have that President today.’

I love it. The President of the United States of America holds a press conference with another head of state, and the local press asks, not the questions HE wants to answer, but any ol’ thing they please.

I remember one of the Soviet leaders asking President Bush why he put up with that [email protected], and he calmly explained that he had no control over our press. It was a teaching moment probably lost on the individual, but I am willing to bet there are people in Russia, Iraq, and Egypt that know about it. I say that because our news stories about meetings with foreign leaders make it into the world news very frequently.
