There were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in Israel overnight (our time, noon Israeli time). At least six people were killed, and the attacks apparently emanated, at least in part, from Egyptian territory.
Israel Matzav is gathering the latest information.

The Israel Defense Forces reports that the attacks started from Gaza, although as Israel Matzav reports, the attacks left Gaza into Egypt and then infiltrated Israel through the mostly unfenced Israel-Egyptian border.

CORRECTION TO EARLIER COMMENT: Children may have been wounded not killed.
These attacks fall in line with the predictions earlier this summer that the Islamist terrorists in Gaza and Eygpt were going to break out openly and start a war with Israel, to begin in Sept.
I was befuddled as to why Obama was telling Israel to apologize yesterday. The timing felt off. The Obama Administration and State Dept are either imbeciles or in bed with The Muslim Brotherhood.
My last hope is with Israel. But this horrible news is no surprise to alot of us this morning.

Glenn Beck has been saying this was going to happen. He is there now for the Restoring Courage Rally on Sunday. Joe Lieberman, and various congressmen were planning to go. Glenn had Joe Walsh on his show this morning, and he said that John Boehner told republicans not to attend this rally for Israel.
Just heard on Israel Radio that there was another shooting while the Chief of Staff and Defense Minister were giving briefings. One person seriously hurt. I’ve updated my post (thanks for linking, Professor). I’ll update again if there is more news.

I’m sure after demanding an apology from Israel to Erdogan … this dolt is so obtuse he could never comprehend that maybe his tough approach with Israel (aka our ally and friend) has emboldened Islamists in Israel’s midst.
“World opinion” and an “international community” are chimeras.
Where is the outcry on the slaughter in Syria? Now, if Israel responds in self-defense with any collateral damage, whatsoever, (Israel must be perfect in its self-defense, don’t ya know), there will be a huge outcry from the usual suspects, and it will be dressed up as “world opinion.”
We have “Media Matters for America.” Why don’t these dolts all get together and form a “United Nations Matters for Israel.”
One of these days, Israel has to say, “Go piss off,” to “world opinion,” and go a little disproportionate, if for no other reason than to show that all previous claims of “disproportionality” were nonsense.
With the passage of time, terrorists will have access to increasingly advanced tecnology. It’s either Israel or the terrorists. There is no in between. The terrorists will not stop until Israel is wiped off the map.
