    It’s the vacation, stupid

    It’s the vacation, stupid

Obama has a jobs plan.  He will tell us when he is ready.  Until then, just chill.

It’s early in the day, but this Tweet by Mark Knoller of CBS News already is the winner of the Obama Jobs Plan Tweet of the Day, both because it reflects that no one is buying what Team Obama is selling (there is no plan, he just wants to be left alone on vacation) and because the mockery is coming from the MSM:

The Tweet also gives rise to the Slogan of the Day:

    It’s the vacation, stupid.

[…] Imagine that. Barack Obama says he has a miracle cure-all plan for the economy but he’ll release it in September in yet another nation abusing speech. Hey, leave Obama alone – he’s on vacation, vacation, vacation. […]

Aren’t we at the stage where everyone has already heard all that Teh Wan is going to say in his speeches? To save time and aid effective communication shouldn’t the WH just number his phrases and issue speeches like this?
    “125, 44, 672, 17, 71, 54, 2, 19, 5, 82, 321, 33, 27 and in conclusion I want to thank 547 and 411. 15 to ll.”

Please don’t belabor the vacation issue. While out-of-the-office he has less chance to cause more harm, I say. Encourage him to travel, instead. Fore!

Apparently, Obama is going to propose to SuperCongress that he will trade some very large amount of long term deficit reduction in exchange for some other very large amount of short term stimulus spending.

Needless to say, the long term reduction proposals will once again prove to be largely ephemeral and theoretical, while the new spending will be real.

Obama reminds me of Wimpy from the old Popeye cartoons. He will gladly pay Republicans next week for hamburgers today.
