    Neither did I

Thanks to reader Robert, who writes:

I saw this and thought of your blog. I’m just guessing, but I don’t think he’s a fan of the President. Spotted in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Republic, Missouri.

So this means the sun is up in the East and we survived another darkness?

I am equally intrigued by the other bumper sticker.

Yeah, but then I always thought Watergate was much ado about nothing. I never uderstood why Nixon’s people did that action anyway. Watergate was just another ploy of the media to bring down a popular republican president. They always seem to manage it, don’t they? That sort stuff has gone on for centuries. Nixon just got caught in some manner. Does anyone think the present occupant hasn’t done as much or worse? The difference is a republican and a democrat president. The media has always hidden the democrat’s sins.

I will defend Nixon to the day I die, he kept me out of Vietnam. If not for him, the draft would still be going and I would be a smug in a rice patty. I don’t care for his war on drugs, but doubt he would approve of what it has become.

As to Watergate, do you realize that we condemn Nixon for standing up for some of his people that did a really stupid thing? How many politicians would try to help those that they could readily turn on and restore their popularity?
