“Have You No Job, Sir?” – Olbermann Out At MSNBC

“Have You No Job, Sir?” – Olbermann Out At MSNBC

Keith Olbermann is out at MSNBC according to a press release issued by MSNBC:

MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

    Was it something he said?

Lawrence O’Donnell will be moving to the 8 p.m. slot, and Ed WhatsHisName moving to 10.  By outing Olby and inning Eddie, MSNBC arguably has moved further to the left in its prime time schedule.  Leaning forward, baby, leaning forward.

    Updates to follow.

    From my Olbermann archives:

Everyone will be playing clips of Olby, but I defy anyone to find a clip which out-Olby’s this rant against Scott Brown:

You think you have something better, post the link in the comments and if I agree, I’ll embed it. But don’t get your hopes up, Sirs and Ma’ams, because I have this one in my back pocket, Olby’s “apology” to Brown:

"Hi, Keith Olbermann here for ShamWow"

Hmmmmm…… I also remember him ranting at Anne Coulter regarding their ongoing feud about his "ivy league" alma mater. Here is the link:

Not, perhaps, up to the "WORitW"* standard, but still classic Olby. 😀

*Worst Olbermann Rant in the World

    He didn't go willingly:

He's started a page entitled, "Bring Back Keith Olbermann." Pathetic.

Funny you should say "Lie Down With Olby, Wake Up With….", because there are those who have done exactly that and have found him lacking.

mosey on over to HuffPo and view some of the comments……typical lefty response: "I'm never watching MSNBC again". Why is it these people give up so easily, and why isn't the right exploiting that? How many times did I hear it in 2004: "Bush won reelection, I'm moving to Canada" or more recently "Nikki Haley won the Governor's race, I'm moving to NC"? You never hear that out of the right.
